This was the first trip to Santa Fe for my friend and I, and we spent five nights here. We chose the hotel because of its location and many positive reviews on Trip Advisor. You really can’t beat the location, which is a short walk to both the Plaza and the galleries on Canyon Road. The staff members were pleasant and very helpful, going out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. Our room was furnished with a charming Southwestern décor, the bed was comfy, and the room was always clean. (Some of the rooms come with a fireplace, but we learned they sell out quickly.) We started the day with a complimentary breakfast buffet that featured outstanding pastries, frittatas, fresh fruits and juices. (I resisted the pastries for the first two days, but finally succumbed.) When we returned from sightseeing and shopping late afternoons, we enjoyed wine and cheese, also free. One of our favorite things about the hotel is the great room where the breakfast and wine/cheese are served. It’s a large room with a fireplace, tables with chairs, and several areas to just sit and relax. The room creates the feeling of a B&B, and we got to know several of the other guests here. At night, this room also serves as a bar where you can order wine and coffee drinks served by an entertaining bartender, Charlie, who’s also a talented artist. Parking is free, which is unusual at most of the hotels here. We didn’t use the internet service, so we can’t comment on it. Our only suggestion to the hotel is to add a room safe. I never travel with a lot of jewelry, but I bought several pieces on Canyon Road and was uneasy about leaving them in the room. We plan on returning and can’t imagine staying anywhere else.

While traveling in New Mexico, my husband and I booked a room at the Inn on the Alameda. My only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer. The room immaculate. What stood out, though, was the service. All in all, it's the most perfect hotel that you could ever find.

Conveniently located a couple of blocks from the Plaza, the Inn is modern in the Santa Fe style. Tasteful breakfast buffet and afternoon wine/cheese social. Attractive and comfortable room and public spaces. The front desk staff and general manager were accommodating and provided excellent tips for touring, shopping, and dining.

We loved our two nights at this Inn. The property is charming and the rooms decorated in a nice Santa Fe style. Breakfast and happy hour are tops. Location can't be beat as it is a quick walk to the Plaza as well as Canyon Road. Staff is very helpful but not obtrusive.

Santa Fe is a favorite place for us, and the Inn on the Almeida is our favorite hotel. It's beautifully situated, a few minutes from the Plaza, and just round the corner from Canyon Road. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and friendly, the rooms handsomely decorated, the beds very comfortable. They serve an excellent breakfast, and between 4 and 5 in the afternoon Charlie, their great bartender, presides over wine and cheese. For guests without mobile wireless service there's a good computer available in a room just off the lobby.

We booked this hotel with having read only some previous reviews posted online. What we found was a wonderful, relaxing and beautiful hotel right in the heart of Santa Fe. It had everything we needed, from a free delicious breakfast buffet, to the free wine during happy hour in the evenings. We had a very comfortable, nicely decorated quiet room, with access to a nice hot tub outside. There were two fireplaces, one in the hotel gathering area and one in the dining area. The staff was very accomodating, and the hotel was perfectly located near the downtown Santa Fe area as well as to Canyon Road where all the artist shops are. We could walk to everything. Definitely recommend this place if you are coming to Santa Fe, NM.

My father, my husband and I stayed at the Inn on the Alameda in October 2010. It was super close to the art galleries on Canyon Road and it is located in a very beautiful part of town where there are a lot of trees. The breakfast was good with a large assortment of pastries and a hot entree. The rooms are just like what you would find in a hotel, but nonetheless very clean and the beds are comfortable and I slept great. The only major complaint I have is that a couple hours after we checked out, my father realized that he left a bag with some postcards and a print behind. We went back to reclaim the items but the print was gone. This was rather upsetting because we left a very generous tip behind for the staff. It left a somewhat bitter taste in our mouths. My father was just raving about the Inn before all of this happened.
