This was our first visit to this hotel. We have stayed previously in Santa Fe at the hotel on the plaza. We were very impressed with the level of hospitality and personal service that we received at the Inn on the Alameda. It is a quiet retreat away from the bustle of the plaza, but not too far to walk there. It is only a block away from Canyon Road and about 5 min. away from Kakawa chocolates-yum!. All of the employees we had contact with were friendly and helpful. Charlie and Jose especially stood out. I was very impressed with how management handled a situation we had with a ride back to the hotel. We walked to a restaurant one evening and when leaving decided to call the hotel for the shuttle to pick us up as it was late and no one was out walking. We called the hotel and spoke to a new employee (her first night) and she told us she would send the shuttle right away and hung up. The shuttle never showed up but the girl at the hotel had called a taxi for us. Apparently the shuttle was not available and she didn't realize this.
