A truly great hotel, with great rooms, colors, ambience, helpful staff, great breakfast, free wine and cheese everyday at 1600hrs, a nice open air jacuzzi - and all that at the centre of Santa Fe.

As you can imagine we where very impressed by the Inn on the Alameda. From the moment we arrived the staff was extremely welcoming and the room we were shown was very impressive.

Apart from the free wines and cheese everyday, the hotel also offers free wifi and free parking among other things.

We consider the Inn as a boutique hotel and we look forward to go back in the near future.

We wanted to stay in a place with the flavor of the region, and be able to walk to the plaza and other places. It was also beautiful with many little extras which made our trip. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Truly, a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Take the Virtual tour of the Inn on their website.

We are becoming regulars due to the friendliness and competence of the staff. We also like the convenient location for both Canyon Road and the Plaza. The facilities are superb and make it comfortable for longer stays. The breakfasts are awesome and they together with the daily wine reception make it easy to chat with other visitors about favorites sites and restaurants. The staff also makes great suggestions and will make reservations.

Room Tip: We have never had a bad room.

I stayed here with 3 girlfriends. Location was great 2-3 blocks to plaza and surrounding area. Service was excellent, especially Jose, who went above and beyond for us and the other guy at the front desk, and Charlie who does the wine and cheese and the evening bar (unfortunately we only discovered the bar on our last day). Rooms were neat and clean. Not huge, but perfectly acceptable. We always had good maid service. Breakfast was excellent - homemade pastries, croissants, muffins, fritata, quiche, cereal (hot/cold) fruit, juice, yogurt. Always a vegan or gluten free option. Wine and cheese was also very nice in the afternnoon. As far as things to do - we went to Taos (pueblo, gorge and plaza shopping were well worth it. Lunch at Orlando's and breakfast at Michaels Kitchen were excellent). On the way back to SF we stopped at the church in Chimayo which was definitely worth it. We got there after hours so couldn't go inside, but it was great to walk around without any crowds. Also stopped at Vivac winery - great homemade chocolate, not impressed by the wine at all. Black Mesa Winery was excellent. Don't miss the Black Beauty - choc infused red and the Woodnymph Reisling - light and citrusy). In Santa Fe - Bandolier National Monument, Tent Rocks for hiking. 10,000 Waves for amazing spa experience - get a master massage with Lyn. The plaza for shopping. As far as restaurants, we went to Cafe Guadalupe - excellent. The Shed - great corn chowder and green chili, but absolutely horrendous service - all the staff was extremely rude and arrogant. Tomasitas - good food, amazing Sangria, See Phil at the bar. Marias - good local food, Over 100 diff kins of margaritas and tequilas. The Crepe place on the plaza - great crepes and croque monsieur sandwiches. Heard upper crust pizza was good but didn't make it there. Did not love Roof top pizza.

Room Tip: No elevators so ask for 1st fl if issues w/steps

Nice place that is close enough to the plaza without being on top of it and therefore quiet enough. The room is nice and bathroom lotions nice too, but there is no coffee maker which is always very appreciated. That said would recommend it.
