I stayed at the Hotel Santa Fe for one week for the opera. I found the service to be excellent and the room was wonderful - I would highly recommend it to anyone!

We were delighted with our three night stay at the Santa Fe! Owned by a local Indian tribe, it is tastefully decorated in a southwest theme and our room was cozy and very comfortable. The staff was outstanding--everyone was polite and so helpful. They offer free shuttle service to all the major sites, but the main plaza is only a a 12-15 minute walk from the hotel. This is a great option for
people looking for a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in Santa Fe.

We stayed at the Hacienda at the Hotel Santa Fe for four nights in a king room with a fireplace. Beautiful decor and service was excellent!!! Continental breakfast was quite extensive and lovely. The lounge area in the hacienda has a great view and is very quiet and pleasant. The Sea Bass is superb in the Amaya restaurant- Chef Tony really makes it great. Don't hesitate to stay here.

Stayed in a Junior Suite in November 2005. Lovely accommodation - clean and stylish, four-poster bed, balcony - and pleasant restaurant.

Walked to plaza in less than 15 mins (and I have a bad back, and trouble walking far), and there is also an 'on-demand' shuttle service for those who don't want to walk at all, which will drop you and pick you up anywhere in the historic/ Canyon Road area.

Highly recommended!

Me and my husband spent our honeymoon in the US, travelling around from NYC to San Francisco. We stayed 3 nights in Santa Fe at Hotel Santa Fe. A bottle of champagne and strawberries in chocolate were waiting for us in our tastefully decorated room!
The pueblo feeling what this hotel has is great! The pool and hot tub was also fun.
The hotel is in walking distance from the historic downtown, but you can take the hotel's free shuttle if you wish.
Absolutely recommended for European travellers!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed 5 nights at Hotel Santa Fe. We found the staff to be very rude and not helpful at all. I'll give just a few examples. We wanted to extend our stay by a couple of nights but no one at the front desk was able to tell us if there was a room available. We had to ask on 3 different occasions before we were given an answer. They would tell us - "we'll call you back in 5 minutes or we'll leave you a message to let you know". The morning we checked out it was around 6:30am. It was completely dark outside the front of the hotel making it very hard to pack our car. I asked the person at the front desk if they could please turn on the lights so we could see. I was given a deadpan look and told curtly "they're on a timer". We stayed on the first floor in a "King Suite" the first couple of nights. We thought this room was VERY overpriced for the quality and size of the room. The room was very loud as we could hear water running, people talking, and suitcases rolling across the segmented tiles in the lobby. The rest of the time we spent on the 3rd floor where the ice machine was broken and there was no coffee/tea service set up. To sum it up, I would never stay at this hotel again. The price is over inflated for the quality of the service and room. Honestly, during our trip we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express that we thought was nicer (at a fraction of the price) than this hotel. We would have only stayed 1-2 nights if we weren't traveling with so many things that needed to be packed up.

The hotel is very nice, although the Southwestern decor is a little overwhelming at times. It's a decent walk to the historic district, so if you don't want to walk a lot I would stay somewhere closer. The lobby is very nice and cozy and our breakfast (not complimentary) was very good. I think the most appealing aspect of the hotel is that it's owned by the Picuris pueblo and visitors can make a donation to help establish recreation and childcare programs for the pueblo.
