We stayed here from 08/20-22/12 for two nights and it is a very nice place. Beginning with check-in, it was fast and easy. Our reservations were accurate. We were upgraded to a suite for $10/night more, making the cost of our stay $159 per night + taxes. We did eat in the hotel restaurant for breakfast and it was good. We enjoyed the shuttle which took us to the center of the arts district and came within minutes of our call to pick us up.

Be advised that if you're a light sleeper, this hotel is near the center rail yard and about 4 am the trains begin firing up and blowing their horns. I thought it was kind of neat, but it could be disturbing to others. The outdoor patio and restaurant was closed to all but those attending a group meeting. Therefore, we chose other outside venues for dinner.

Overall, I would rate this hotel four stars. The room was clean and comfortable - modern except the TV was not HD; it was old. The bed was comfy and there were plenty of feather pillows and blankets for one's use. Oh, I almost forgot that we had a couple's massage. Although pricey, the massages were fantastic. Great after a long driving trip.

So sorry about the train!! The normal schedule to Albuquerque doesn’t start ‘til close to 5:30am, so it must have been a special occasion - very unusual!?

I am so delighted to learn that you enjoyed your stay and we took good care of you. Fear not - new TVs should be in place at the beginning of next year!

We spent 3 nights at the Hotel Santa Fe in late July. We got the reservation through Hot Wire and we were very pleased with our entire experience at the hotel. Our room was comfortable, the native American decor throughout the hotel was very attractive, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

We were in town for the Indian Market and festivities. Our room was a Santa Fe suite in the Santa Fe Hotel section. It was a comfortable room, though the room appointments seemed a little outdated -- very small vanity and bathroom. The mattress needs to be replaced -- had a hump in the middle like the differential of a car. The service, however, was fantastic. When we arrived at 2PM for our first night, our room wasn't available. When they heard that we had been traveling since 3AM, they made an effort to get the room ready and gave us a choice of two suites. We were on the third floor/end unit and it was very quiet (except for the hotel ventilation system outside). Dining room/restaurant was good -- convenient for the days when we didn't have time to dine out. Maid service was prompt and efficient when requested. Overall very happy with our experience.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing the back parking lot (and Hacienda addition) if you like to sleep with your windo...

Glad to learn you enjoyed your stay but apologies for the hump in the mattress! They have all been replaced in the last two and a half years, so I wish I knew which room you stayed in as we pride ourselves on great mattresses! We will track it down!

We stayed one night at this hotel on the way to Sedona, AZ for our honeymoon and just absolutely loved it. The front desk staff is friendly and the shuttle is so convenient. The driver even recommended so great restaurants. They upgraded our room since it was our honeymoon and when we got back from dinner there was champagne and strawberries waiting in our room. I can not recommend this place enough! Thanks for a great start to our honeymoon!!

Ely, the Front desk duty manager was extremely rude and did not honor reservation agents offer to reserve for a 2nd night at checkin and only let us stay for one night. No follow up by the real manager so do not expect any service if there is any problems. Ely would be fired if he was my employee. Also had to deal with hassle of hotel putting someone else's dinner on my bill which took an hour and a half for front desk to solve and remove from the bill. Jr. Suite was very small with rough scratchy sheets on pull out. Room looked 20 years old with many stains on the carpet and toilet/shower used low quality fixtures. Still using old tube tv which had lousy picture. Hotel was filled with old pretentious people and the rooms need updating. I would never stay here again.

I am sorry that Eloy was not kinder to you, but he has been with us for many many years and renown for his gentle disposition.

The real issue was a mis-communication on our part, as you did not wish to make your reservation for a second night when you made your original request - we incorrectly advised you to let us know upon arrival and did not add the words “subject to availability”. Unfortunately, upon your arrival, we did not have any rooms available for the second night and this obviously soured your opinion of us and your experience for the only night you stayed with us!!

With apologies.

We booked a fire-place king in the Hacienda part of the hotel and it lived up to our expectations as well as the fitness centre with its nice terrace opportunity. Quiet and clean.

What disappointed us was the poor continental breakfast and the sloppiness of the staff, eg wrong directions, missed turn-down services etc. I guess the mgmt should focus on getting these customer service things right first, rather than apologise and apologise later without actually giving out anything but lip service to unhappy customers.

Same situation with the so called butlers who are supposed to be around to help, but appear to be just tip-hungry bell-boys.

My partner and I stayed at the Hacienda for a week in August and had a great experience. After a day of flying, we arrived and were placed in a Fireplace King on the first floor with an adjoining door. The adjoining door unfortunately did not buffer any noise from the room next door and we could hear our neighbors' conversation loud and clear. But after a painless call down to the front desk, we were promptly moved to a slightly larger Fireplace King down the hall without an adjoining door and were able to nap in peace and quiet.

The room itself was lovely - comfy bed with soft, silky linens; ample storage for two people; a nice-sized bathoom with a huge walk-in shower and great water pressure. I was surpised to see an old CRT TV versus a flat-screen, but it certainly was not a deal breaker.

The continental breakfast each morning was also quite lovely. It was served in the lounge on the third floor with wonderful views of the city and the mountains. There was an ample selection of yogurts, cereal, oatmeal, cottage cheese, fresh fruit, and lots of carby treats (which I tried to stay away from but looked delicious).

The Spa and Fitness center next door were ideally located and very well equipped. My partner had a massage, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I worked out in the fitness center one evening and took a dip in the hottub on the roofdeck afterwards, which was heaven!

The Hacienda is situated in walking distance to almost everything - the Plaza and all of the downtown attractions and restaurants, the Railyard (it's right across the street!), and Canyon Road.

My only suggestion to the the hotel would be to rename or remarket the butler service. In my mind, calling it a butler service seems pretentious. The "butlers" actually served as a concierge team, which to me seems a bit more appropriate, especially for a relaxed city like Santa Fe. Just a minor detail I thought was worth noting.

All in all, I would definitely stay at the Hacienda again for my next stay in Santa Fe!

Room Tip: The doors separating adjoining rooms do a poor job at buffering noise. If you're sensitive to no...

Many thanks for your kind words. The “Butler” designation is a result of my country or origin!! I confirm that flat screen TVs have been ordered and should be in place throughout The Hacienda by the end of October.

Thank you for staying with us!
