“Great food, fantastic ambiance”

What a great hotel. After five weeks in a road trip, we decided to stop by Santa Fe and celebrate my birthday there. Never been in the city or New Mexico before, the whole thing was kind of random, but we had a great surprise. The hotel's building inspire peace, its location is tranquil and ease, the pool or the jacuzzi are not crowded, the service is seamless and zero hassle and, last but not least, an amazing restaurant with a spectacular twist to otherwise simple recipes, along with a helpful and not-overbearing but very receptive waitresses. I would return there any time.

So glad you found New Mexico and then “randomly” found our Hotel! Your kind words are gratefully received and we are all delighted to learn that you had a peaceful/tranquil stay. Belated birthday greetings!

Stayed at the Hacienda on the way down from Taos. Looking for a romantic stay, I booked a suite. The room was large and nicely furnished with a comfortable sofa and chair, and soft lighting. The king sized bed was comfortable and sturdy. The bathroom was large and very clean. The shower was nice, too. Overall....very nice room. One may have a bit of trouble finding enough light if one were working in the room.

Other nice touches were the works of native art that decorated the hallways. The complimentary happy hour and breakfast were a treat. Both had enough of what one would need to stay happy and full. Oh...and the service was friendly. Also, dinner in the hotel was excellent. Really. It may not have been the fastest service ever, but it was worth the little extra wait.

Small downside:
- Mandatory daily (not nightly) H.E.A.A.R.T. fee. A one night stay will add two days of $15 dollar fees for a total extra of thirty dollars.
- No refrigerator in the room. Well, technically there is one, but ours was locked.
- The rooms are not sound proof. One can at least hear water running. One can also hear the maid running the vacuum in the morning. Don't plan on sleeping in unless your partner's snoring can drown out he hum of an upright.
- The rooms have a real HVAC unit, which is good for temperature control. But, it's not the quietest piece of machinery ever invented at it turns on and off.

All said...very nice place and I would probably stay there again at some point.

So glad we made you “happy” and don’t fret over the H.E.A.A.R.T. fee, as some of it goes to different charities and the balance allows us to provide that “friendly” service. We would indeed love to have you come back soon!

This hotel leaves nothing to chance. For the thousands who come each summer for SF's world renoun opera season, booking a package at this hotel is seamless. For one price, your accommodation, meals, transportation, a spa treatment and choice of opera is handled to perfection, by possibly the friendliest and most capable staff of any hotel in the city. Additionally, rooms are charming and food is delicious.

Room Tip: With the package, comes a suite, but most of the suites have just a kingsize bed, so if you are frie...

The Hotel Santa Fe is a very special place. My husband and 3 children and I just returned from a 5 night stay there in July 2012. This was our second visit and we certainly hope to be back. Every space in the hotel, from the lobby, to the restaurant, to the rooms, the pool area, the gym and the lovely spa were designed with a wonderful attention to detail. The result is a peaceful, inviting and artistic space that instantly beckons one to relax and to feel at home. Everyone on the staff goes out of their way to be kind and helpful and they are all knowledgable about the local area and always ready with advice. We don't often eat at hotel restaurants because they usually aren't very good. However, here too the Hotel Santa Fe does not disappoint. We've tried the breakfast and lunch there and both were delicious with many New Mexican specialities served quite well. We stayed in a suite with 2 queen beds and requested a rollaway bed as well. I believe it was room 262. Our family of five had plenty of room. The extra sitting area was lovely. On our first trip in 2010 we were concerned that this property is not right near the Plaza. But our concerns were immediately alleviated by the outstanding service of the Hotel Santa Fe's charming purple shuttle bus and car. The drivers are always friendly and informative. They will take you to the Plaza, Canyon Road, Museum Hill and to many other local attractions that are all only a few minutes away and then they will pick you up again. We're not sure how the hotel makes this system work so smoothly but they do. Even during busy times of day, we have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a shuttle. My husband took advantage of the spa on this trip. He has a bad back and said that this was the best professional massage of his life. I used the gym and found the machines to be state of the art and easy on my joints, and in a sunny, bright setting as well. All of us loved the pool area and hot tub. The pool is not particularly large but my children loved it and like the rest of the hotel, this area too is filled with plants and artwork that create a truly lovely space. Santa Fe is a wonderful city to explore and the Hotel Santa Fe will enhance your experience of it. I simply cannot recommend the Hotel Santa Fe more highly. Everything was perfect!

Our stay was very pleasant with wonderful customer service. From check in to check out we were called by our names by Gabriel who was beyond helpful. From the front desk, bell service, bar, restaurant and shuttle service we were treated like kings. Had dinner in TeePee at restaurant with exceptional service from our waitress, Jasminna. Prompt service from the free shuttle around town was wonderful. Very nice size and clean rooms. Will definitly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Santa Fe and will book a stay there for my next visit.

The staff at the Hotel Santa Fe was excellent from sales, catering, banquets, front desk, everyone was very helpful and most accomodating. Jenna Proctor in Sales and Todd Glatz went way above and beyone their job descriptions to assist a couple of our attendees.

Our room was small, but we didn't go to Santa Fe to stay in our room. The room was clean and had everything you would want in a room, including a refrigerator. The bathroom was about average size. The hotel is old but the rooms have been redone and are modern. They have a pool and hot-tub but we didn't get in either. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was okay nothing to rave about but it is clean and we ate outside on the patio area that was decorated very nice. The nicest thing we found with this hotel is they have a shuttle that runs from early morning until 10PM that will take you and drop you off and then come back and get you when you are ready to return to the hotel. As there is little areas to park this make a very big plus.
