We stayed here for four nights and we really had a great time. The staff was helpful and friendly, and our second room was comfortable. The first room, however, was not so comfortable. The A/C filter is just above the bed in the standard King bed rooms, and we were noticing that the air in our room was stuffy and hot and no matter what we did to the A/C temperature, it wasn't cooling down. When I looked up from the bed and saw the A/C filter, I saw that it hadn't been changed since April 2010, over two years ago! Needless to say, it looked very dirty. To the management's credit, though, they took care of the problem by immediately moving us to a Junior Suite two doors down that still adjoined our in-laws room. The new room was very nice, spacious, and best of all... cool!

We purchased a couples massage for our anniversary and while the spa was very nice, the receptionist was kind of rude (unless you were in the process of handing her money), and the massage therapists were very rough with my wife and me. I left the massage in terrible back pain that didn't subside until the next morning. I would recommend NOT using the massage services!

The place could use a few updates: the TVs and shower heads seem to date from when the hotel opened in 1991. At the rates they charged, flat screen TVs and nice shower heads are a must-have.

Overall, it was a good experience, and we would stay at this hotel again.

With apologies for the A/C filter oversight, but I am glad to know that we took care of you and you enjoyed your stay. Our showerheads are new! (And we are renown for great water pressure.) TVs are gradually being replaced, but you will appreciate that replacing all 300 TVs at once is a tough challenge in this economy. (New beds, and bedding, carpets, etc. are equally, if not more, important!) I have passed your concerns to the Spa operator, which is a most unusual complaint, as their services, generally receive rave reviews. Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to your return visit.

We have traveled all over the western US and this hitel stay was one of the very best- the staff was more then helpful, the room was wonderful (we had a suite), location was perfect plus they have mini vans that will take and pick up. Would go back there every time we stay in Santa Fe. Taking our family there next year.

Room Tip: Get a suite, it is well worth it and has a balcony, sitting drinking wine on the balcony and enjoyin...

This hotel welcomes you with warm and open arms from the time you arrive to the time you leave. The employees were always willing to help in anyway they could and we absolutely LOVED having the hotel "taxi" available to us at no charge to take us anywhere within a few miles from the hotel. This hotel is located in the heart of Santa Fe, so you didn't need but a few miles to get you to pretty much any place you would like to attend. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Make sure you stay in the "spa" portion of the hotel. With these rooms, breakfast and a v...

Stayed here for one night during the Gumball 3000 rally. The hotel look and feel is very Santa Fe which was nice. We got in around 10:20 PM and were starving but were told that the bar and restaurant closed every night at 10 and that there was no room service. Figured I would raid the minibar but that only contained 1 or 2 beverages and no snacks. On top of this, we found out the hard way that every restaurant in town is also closed by 10pm. I understand Santa Fe is an elderly town but it's also somewhat of a tourist destination. if they know everything closes early, the least the hotel can do is offer something for guests who arrive late. also, there was an issue with one of our room reservations which wasn't the hotel's fault but the front desk agent did not seem too enthusiastic about helping us out. In the end, it was resolved.
Finally, this might be a non-issue for most, but our group was supposed to be staying at some of the the better hotels in each city and our suite had an old tube TV. I don't necessarily require a new LCD, but it was just a sign of the hotels category.

Heads up! We just introduced an after hours room service menu and new TVs are on their way.

I know the City turned out in strength for the Gumball Rally but if you want late night nightlife it is true that Santa Fe is normally all tucked up in bed by 11pm!!

There was indeed some confusion by the organizers of the event as to who was staying where?! I hope you had a safe trip across the USA.

Our "girlfriend" trip to Santa Fe was made even more special by our stay at the Hotel Santa Fe & Hacienda. The staff all around were friendly, competent and helpful in every respect. The extra se urity features upon entering The Hacienda made us feel very safe. We especially loved the quietness in the Hacienda and would highly recommend staying there if you are wanting that feature as well as the ultra soft and comfy beds.

The included breakfast and wine & beer hour(s) in the lounge were outstanding! The free shuttle service and bottled water to take on our walks was also a great perk.

I would definitely stay there on my next visit as the value for dollars spent was fabulous!

Great location, beautiful pool area, wonderful southwestern decor, free shuttle service, great beds and fantastic service! The only "negative" was the small bathroom with a tub/shower that was dated. Would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: ask for pool view.

I arrived much earlier than the check in time, but the reception staff took time to see if a room was made up. Unfortunately, there wasn't one so I decided to walk the 10 or 15 minutes to the Plaza, the staff kindly gave me two bottles of water to take with me. When I checked in I found the room to be very comfortable and it was decorated in a great Southwestern style. I had a pleasant view over the pool area. I didn't make use of many of the facilities other than the pool, which was great, but the availability of a hospitality bus was a real boon, although the walk into town, as I mentioned before, is an easy and pleasant stroll. I didn't find the bar particularly inviting and I found the breakfast service pretty slow and less than friendly. I also had a bit of a problem with being charged extra for breakfast despite having booked a B&B rate, this was quickly remedied. The bellboy and all the staff at reception were very welcoming and professional. All in all, a very nice hotel with a great ambience. Close enough to the old town, but far enough away to get some peace and ample free parking.
