“Best Dinner In Santa Fe”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

The meal we had at Luminaria on Christmas Day was by far the best meal we had during our four nights in Santa Fe. But for the service (which wasn't really bad, just not what "excellent") and the receptionist, I would have rated the restaurant as "excellent."

Next time in Santa Fe, I will definitely return to Luminaria.

“Luminaria: A close second in Santa Fe.”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

Excellent in all categories - food, service and decor. But Geronimo still has an edge. We had our New Year's eve dinner at Luminaria and enjoyed it immensely. Good and reasonably priced wine list. Nicely decorated. The only negative was a very loud and large party that should have been put into a private dining room. Several of our fellow diners also complained but the large party was spending lots of money and the complaints were ignored. A difficult problem for restaurant management...We shall return. Two Gardner stars.

We have eaten at Luminaria several times and have never been disappointed. The waitstaff and chef are very patient and helpful in dealing with the fact that I have Celiac disease and require a gluten-free meal with no cross-contamination. Our food has always been beautifully cooked and beautifully presented, we come back here every time we visit Santa Fe.

“Continued excellence”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

I returned after a year and found the food and service have not reduced one whit. An excellent though short list of regionally influenced eclectic fare. There were three of us; for starters we had their justly famous tortilla soup and a goat cheese salad. I ordered the antelope; never had it before so I can't say how it compares to other restaurant's antelope, but it was excellent. My wife and a perfectly done rib-in roast beef; our friend the paella. We all shared the molten chocolate cake; not really molten as there was no soft hot center, but still good. Our server, Ruta, from Lithuania, did a great job.

“Mediocre breakfast”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

My wife and I had breakfast at Luminaria one morning on our visit to Santa Fe. We both had huevos rancheros and found them to be a bit more "gringo" than we would have expected. Not bad, just not what you would expect.
