“Great tortilla soup”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

We ate in the lounge after a spa day and had wonderful Tortilla soup. It was so delicious. Just the right amount of heat. The serving size was ideal. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the lounge and the service was good. Great people watching

“Good place for a special dinner, but didn't blow me away”
Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

We had a celebratory dinner here recently. The atmosphere was nice, though not spectacular. The service was fantastic - our server, Juan, was very obliging. The food was quite good, but didn't blow us away. The tortilla soup is "award-winning"...it was good, but could have been better. My NY Strip was good, but lacked a bit in flavor. The desserts were the highlight but I was stuffed by then! I might go back, but I'd probably try another place first.

“Christmas Day lunch was average.”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

We stayed at the Inn at Loretto over Christmas and had Christmas lunch at their restaurant, Luminaria. Luminaria is rated highly but we were a little disappointed and we didn't feel that it lived up to the reviews we had read. I had prime rib which was outstanding. However, my wife had ham, which was very dry. It's as though it had been sitting out a while. The sweet potato hash was not seasoned well. She ordered some maple syrup to help the dish a bit. Everything else was very good and we had a nice meal overall. So perhaps it was just a bad day for ham. The service was excellent.
