The opera house was beautiful, and the tailgating was fun. The open air stage seemed to compromise the acoustics -- for whatever reason, the music, especially the singers, did not come across powerfully.

When it comes to opera and the experience of it! This is my second trip to the opera here and it was even better than my first--especially since now there is coverage from the elements in all sections

Opera isn't for everyone, it sure isn't for me, but I wanted to see this glorious facility. It was worth it, a very gentile evening. We picked a special endgame not that wasn't so stuffy, and that made it easier. I loved it, make a picnic and tail gate, dress nice, and have a great evening

This was my second visit to the Sant Fe opera. A colored mountain sunset behind the stage just before the opera began was amazing. The theatre itself is very comfortable and beautiful; simple without being stark or cold. The acoustics are very good for an outdoor theater and the artists are world class.

The Santa Fe Opera is a summer opera, with about half of its operas not often performed elsewhere. It is very good, although not comparable to operas like the Met. The austere and partly open-air opera house is located on a mesa several miles west of Santa Fe. It matches well the beautiful but austere environment.
