The Plaza is really a community gathering place in this city. In summer, it hosts the free Bandstand performances nearly every night, providing everyone the chance to dance or just to sit and enjoy. Spanish and Indian markets center here, Pancakes on the Plaza on July 4th, with the fabulous Community Band and huge car show. Don't miss. Who knows what might be happening there when you visit!

went to the Plaza and the Spanish Market was also going on, great jewelry, art vendors were very willing to discuss their art, take some time because there is a lot to see.

We got married here, so it'll always be a favourite destination. The kids like to play on the grass, watch the balloon man and circle the monument. We like to watch the people and drink coffee while we listen to our babes laughing about their own antics. It's a very communal spot and you'll find both locals and travelers here.

The first time here was the usual day. We visited the shops around the plaza but the better deals are with the Native Americans selling in front of the Palace of the governors. The quality is good and the prices are better. We came back on the 4th of July and there was fiesta! Music and more food vendors, lots of people having a good time.

Went to the Plaza several times during our trip to Santa Fe. First of all, it's a great place just to sit and unwind and enjoy the great summer weather. Secondly, if you love to shop they have all sorts of shops around the plaza and neighboring streets- from the five and dime store to high end clothing and jewelers! Plus plenty of places to eat within the plaza and surrounding blocks. There are a few restaurants that look right out on the plaza (although they don't have the best food), and there is even a dessert place with Haagen-Daaz.....and there are also museums right there- History and Art museums and Georgia O'Keefe a few short blocks away...there are concerts in the summer evenings...we heard a nice band playing mostly country music- there was dancing and everyone was having a great time! Must see the Plaza!!
