“A Santa Fe Gem”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

Santa Fe boasts 250 art galleries and about the same number of restaurants. It is a beautiful city and a deserved tourist draw. The highlight of my trip there? Clafoutis French Bakery & Restaurant. My breakfast there was a special, a ham and cheese crepe with béchamel and an egg on top. Truly delicious and very well prepared. A hunk of French bread and a copious serving of fruit (overflowing with fresh strawberries and blueberries) accompanied the crepe. Friendly service by a French waitress added to the country French atmosphere--much more like being in France than New Mexico! Had to top it all off with a custard éclair. Could not resist!

“French bakery - delicious”

Great atmosphere with wonderfully artistic plates of food served with French flair. Was so good that we went twice in 3 days on recent trip to Santa Fe and Taos

“A taste of France in Santa Fe”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Great food at a wonderful price. This place is well worth a trip even if you are a visitor and a cab ride is required. My husband is swiss french and a bit of a tough critic. He loved his breakfast giving high marks to the baguette and the croissants. We took a slice of clafoutis to go and loved it. If we were locals, we would be there weekly, maybe more.

“Oh for Clafoutis...worth the walk”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

This petit restaurant was one we kept coming back to for a well priced lunch within easy walking distance of the Plaza. The food was great and provided enough variety for several visits. The owner and wait staff were friendly and greeted you in French without it feeling forced. Quiche and salads and baguettes and croissants and of course various fruit clafoutis, that gorgeous French confection. Don't go too late though or they may have sold out. Parking behind the small, easy to miss restaurant is a bit problematic but seems to work anyway. However you will need the walk to work off the goodies you will consume.

“OMG”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

Wow, having read all the reviews, my friends and I had to give this cafe a try. And we were all so glad that we did. We each had to have a bowl, yes a bowl of coffee with our breakfast. A bowl of coffee that requires two hand to hold, now that was just the beginning. Before our breakfast entrees arrived, we had to sample some of the baked goodies. To start, the apple tart was like no other I've ever tasted. The crust was wonderfully flakey and the apple was not hard or crunchy, but rather had a more apple sauce consistency. It was delicious. Next was the pear tart, which actually had a whole half of a pear on top, just soft enough and chilled enough while the tart was buttery and flakey. All was way beyond my other French bakery experiences! A must try when in Santa Fe!
