Happy Hour & breakfast are included with the room. We missed Happy Hour but enjoyed a glass of pinot grigio on the lawn overlooking the harbor - bliss. Breakfast the next morning was generous with eggs, sausages, cereals, and breads. Cannot comment on dinner but the restaurant seemed busy the night we were there.

My wife grew up on this island. We come back every summer to be with her father for a few weeks. This is the first time we tried "the Bluff" and had high hopes, especially since "The Downrigger" which was always a favorite for seafood recently burned down. Hopeful "The Bluff" would be a decent alternative for the island which is not exactly a culinary high spot. The decor is very nice, the service excellent, and the view very nice (on a nice day you can sit on the lawn with a great view of the harbor). The prices for a nice restaurant on the island are reasonable (cheaper than the Coho which the owner of the Bluff recently bought). The problem? The food. The mussels appetizer was pretty good. But the pasta and vegetables main dish was truly horrible. It was neither Italian nor really anything else. Practically tasteless and soggy. My wife's flat bread was also strangely topped and relatively tasteless. Considering this restaurant is supposed to be one of the better ones on the island and was also recommended to us and gets such high ratings on Tripadvisor, we were very disappointed. We miss the Downrigger more and more!

We wish that the chef would have kept more to the natural flavors of the food. Our fish was cooked with too many sweet ingredients and even the mussels were overpowered with chorizo etc.

I read good reviews on this place and wanted to check it out. They have a great happy hour from 5pm - 6pm (I think everyday..). They only serve small plates/apps during that hour but they are only $5 each. We ordered a few apps and just sat outside and enjoyed looking at the water. We stayed until dinner time, and just split an entree since we had filled up some on the apps. All the food was great! We also got dessert which was very yummy as well.

I would recommend going early (5pm - 5:15pm) before the crowd comes or make reservations.

We had a very nice meal with good service. The view is great. Lots of tasty entrée choices. While there was not a formal kid's menu, they easily accommodated our youngest with a few menu modifications, so that was not problem. Nice cocktail menu, too. The view is great. The restaurant is fairly small, so be sure and make reservations.
