The website made this place look decent, but we should have walked away when there was only one other party in the restaurant at 7pm on a Saturday night. The food and service were just bad, bad, bad. It's not like the staff was rude or anything, they just had no clue (or didn't really care) about good service an weren't knowledgeable about the dishes that were offered. As for the food, it was completely amateur. It's like they tried really hard to do some inventive dishes, but just missed on execution. The asparagus bisque was flavorless and had a bunch of stringy bits in it, the spot prawns were slightly undercooked and paired with Harissa carrots that were a bit too spicy and overpowered the dish, the flank steak was ok, but the fried onions and green
chili pudding it was served with lacked flavor. This place is really bad for the price you pay. We
had a MUCH better meal at Coho the night before for the same price. Bottom line, the Bluff needs to quit pretending to be a gourmet restaurant and stick to basic dishes that they can properly execute and charge a fair price for.
