A wonderful place to picnic, but not a huge place to explore. I thought the $10 fee was a little pricey

On our first day we stopped by to check out the point and watch for whales. We only stayed about 1/2 and did not see any whales. My husband saw a seal though. You can walk far along the water here to the light house or other beaches. There are picnic tables and rest rooms. There is a minimal parking fee. Very nice peaceful location. The next day we were kayaking at the point and at least 20 or more orcas came by so you never know if you'll see whales but this is known as the best spot.

Go early in the morning and follow the signs to the whale watching area. You might get lucky! We also saw a harbor seal devouring a salmon right under our noses!

Excellent place to spot the orka's! We saw them two days in a row. The whales gave us a show, jumping out of the water!. They come really close to the shore. We did a boattrip too, but when you're as lucky as us, you see them much closer from the shore!

The history of this light house is worth the visit, but during the time when Orca Whales swim by everyone congregates to see them, and your met with professionals that let you know all about the history and Orca's. Worth seeing.
