We booked this hotel for 3 nights as part of a Clipper Vacation. They pick you up at the dock. Our suite was very roomy. It was a little dated, especially the couch. Otherwise it was clean and had a balcony overlooking the parking lot. It was warm and I would have used the air conditioner to sleep, if they had one. There was a fan in the room and that helped. The kitchen had sparse items, but we were more interested in going out and did eat the free breakfast daily, which was good. I can see where this would be a great choice for a family since there was a separate bedroom. We rented a car across the street and really enjoyed the island. We would return to this hotel again.

This hotel was the one available with Clipper Vacations.
Positives:
Spacious, with 2 queen beds in 2 rooms..meaning each room had 1bed, mini kitchen and very large bathroom.
Very friendly front desk.
Shuttle service on demand...very nice about taking us to town whenever we wanted. (Very friendly drivers!)
Continental breakfast(positive)..but was exactly the same both mornings(negative).
Negatives:
Wifi was non existent, said they had it and gave us the code, but only my husband's phone showed it, but it kept dropping it. So do not count on having Wifi!
Decor is very dated, if that is important to you.

Overall, we had a good stay, just know it's not a 4-5 star hotel!

Nice to know that you enjoyed our spacious suites and our kitchenettes. We take pride in our customer service, we thank you for noticing and giving us a review on it. I apologize about the wifi being streaky. We have discovered the issue and have since then been upgrading the service. Thank you for the review.

Nice rooms, quiet, clean, comfortable with a great breakfast included in the morning. The staff are polite. Pretty much everything is off of Spring St so the location is great but there are no water views and it is not on the harbor which some traveling to this island may want.

Our room was very nice. Everything like very new. Spacious.

We were in room 200 so we got a lot of noise from the street. The road up the hill ran right by our room and we heard a lot of truck traffic.

Breakfast is ok. But it is the usual bland motel hot breakfast. Bland scrambled eggs, waffle maker with corn based syrup. The other usual stuff like bland muffins and cold cereals.

Very pleased that you enjoyed the room.
Sorry to hear the breakfast was a bit bland for you. We have changed things around the last few years to try and accommodate requests from guests such as Gluten free sausage, freshly scrambled eggs, and the muffins are freshly baked every morning right in our very own kitchen.
Thank you so much for the review.

Just spent a phenomenal week at Friday Harbor (with a group). We were pre-assigned into the Friday Harbor Suites (so I had to decision to make). Didn't know what to expect. BUT WOW! This lovely hotel used to be a residential hotel, therefore the rooms are actually apartments! Bedroom, Kitchen, Living Room, and Balcony! Besides the size which is exceptional for a longer stay, the setting up on the hill a short walk into charming Friday Harbor is fun. Flowers, flowers, flowers everywhere! This hotel seems to be recently remodeled (don't know for sure), everything is fresh and clean. Very substantial breakfast each morning. AND, if you don't want to drive or walk around town for dinner, there is a dynamite Mexican restaurant right off the lobby! For your jumping off place to explore Friday Harbor, AND the other islands (you gotta get in a boat to really experience the San Juans.....) you could not do better than the Friday Harbor Suites.

Room tip: If you really want a quiet night's sleep, ask for a room not real close to the jumping restaurant.
