We had a living social escape for this so it was an excellent deal- stayed 2 nights Sun/Mon. Lovely property, comfortable room, nice amenities, Megan was super nice and very helpful picking dinner spots.

Our room was the Newton Mitchell- very nice. Bed comfortable enough for not being our own (there's no place like home for that).

Breakfasts were very good- not too heavy.

What a lovely place to stay while visiting San Antonio. From the beautiful gardens and nearby access to the San Antonio Riverwalk to the impressive grandeur of the four story house to the comfy rooms and exquisite furnishings to the ample balconies and reading nooks to the delicious gourmet breakfasts, our stay exceeded all expectations. Yes, you will hear occasional train whistle but it adds to the charm of this lovely period home. Yes the bathroom and closet space are smaller than a modern hotel room, but the bedroom size made up for it. The innkeeper and staff were wonderfully polite and attentive. They even drove us to the zgeorge Strait concert when no taxis were available. One of the highlights of the location of this property is its proximity to downtown SA, the missions, Southtown, Alamodome,Trinity University, Pearl Brewery, and the Quarry. You can walk, bike, Segway or are a five to ten minute drive away from these spots. We stayed in the Mathis room which was beautifully appointed, spacious and had easy access to the balcony overlooking the front lawn - a great place relax. Can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Choose a room on an upper floor for easy access from your room to the balcony.

My husband booked 2 nights at The Oge House to celebrate my birthday. The home is beautiful and in a great location. Walking distance from the river walk but far enough that your last leg is so quiet and peaceful. The hospitality was outstanding and the food was great!

I want to start off by saying that I agree with most reviews in that the house decor is quite nice, the staff was exceptional (Megan is sweet and very helpful), and breakfast was delicious (oh, the quiche and fluffy banana pancakes!). But for the advertised rate of $249 per night, some of the details can be improved upon. We stayed in the Elder room which has a basic small bathroom. There's a stale or damp odor in there, and the towels had a sour smell (even the ones that were replaced the next day). The shower curtain liner has cluster dots of mold in various areas, and the tub itself had mold around the edges. The entire bathroom could stand a facelift..... The sheets on the bed were also a disappointment, they were well-worn and grainy to the touch. It felt like we were sleeping on a bed of sand. Thank goodness the inn provided a comfy full-length robe, which I slept in to provide a barrier to the grainy sheets. As a Select Registry Inn, I'm sure the Oge House would like to maintain their high standards and meet guest expectations for a luxury B&B.

My husband and I stayed to two nights for our anniversary, and were very pleased with our stay at the Oge House. The house is exquisite and beautifully designed with antiques and art. Megan greeted us at the door and was very kind and helpful in our first trip to the area. She had fresh lemonade and cookies for the guests, and there is a Keurig machine for use any time. Our room was so comfortable. The backyard gardens overlook the river, and the house is located in the beautiful King William neighborhood. Very quiet, and only a leisurely 10 minute walk to the lively center of the river-walk. The breakfast was very yummy as well. Fresh fruit and juice, and a warm, savory breakfast with fresh coffee. We have already recommended the house to our friends and family, and would love to stay again at the Oge House!

My daughter and I spent Mother's Day weekend at the Oge House. Its location in the King William district of San Antonio, close to the Riverwalk and to many neat restaurants was perfect. We loved staying in a house built over 100 years ago but with very up to date amenities. The shower was one of the best I have experienced. Breakfast was delicious and so were the chocolate chip cookies. The inn keeper, Megan, was very welcoming and gave us much helpful information. I hope I can return soon with my husband this time.

This was second time staying at A Noble Inn (also stayed at Jackson House). Loved the Oge House right on the San Antonio River very near the action but also quiet and relaxing. Off street parking is very convient. Megan and the staff are some of the best part of staying here. They were very helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and they took into consideration special needs. Also enjoyed the freshly made chocolate chip cookies and lemonaide snacks while relaxing on the front porch overlooking the historic King William neighborhood. We enjoyed tour of the historic houses and also touring the Missions is nearby. Wonderful location, wonderful place to stay. Also beautiful grounds with rosé gardens. Rooms are elegant and not too fru-fru for men to be comfortable.
