From the friendly, welcoming staff at the front door and the front desk to the immaculately clean rooms, our stay at this hotel was excellent. We were there for a conference and the wi-fi connection everywhere was very good. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but they are very nicely appointed and besides, it's San Antonio - there's so much to see and do, you probably won't be in the room much anyway. We definitely will stay again and would recommend it to others.

Our stay was amazing! Despite the hotel being fully booked the service remained great! Very clean! The hotel is close to many great places to eat and things to do. We would recommend staying at this hotel. We will be visiting again very soon.

We stayed at this hotel while taking 28 of our students to a national convention. It was a short walk to the convention center, and had all the amenities we could ask for. The rooms were kept very clean and the furnishings were not tired or used looking. The staff was very accommodating, especially considering the large amount of teenagers wondering the hotel, and never once were rude or discourteous. In addition the Starbucks being in the lobby was a huge bonus whenever the caffeine kick was needed. The hotel is within walking distance to all sorts of local attractions, including the Riverwalk, the Alamo, and Hemsfair Park. The concierge desk was very helpful, and gave the chaperones some great suggestions of places to take large groups, and to just sit back and relax for a little while. I would holy recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the San Antonio area.

We stayed on the 23rd floor, and had a great view of the lagoon and the rest of the city. Elevators are slow, and carpet is showing some wear. The room coffee pot is something from the 1980's instead of a Kuerig. Room service was hit and miss. We had to call down twice in our 6 day visit to get them to make up the room. Beds and Pillows are extremely comfortable. The room service is very good. Tips: Denny's is across the street for a breakfast alternative.

Room Tip: If you come for New Years to see the Fireworks - This is the wrong hotel. The recently built Grand...

The first time I visited San Antonio I stayed in hill country outside of downtown. Although a really good stay, we loved the Riverwalk. For this particular trip my boyfriend and I definitely wanted to stay near the downtown and be right in the middle of the action for New Years. The Marriot Rivercenter is right in the thick of it and it's great! They were extremely accommodating for us. They let us check-in early to our room, provided a parking space above ground for my boyfriend's truck that didn't fit there underground parking, and gave us a corner room with views of the Riverwalk. It was beautiful to wake up to the views of the city. We walked to everything we wanted to do because of the great location and didn't have to take a cab or use our own car for the whole weekend. There is a pool, a fitness center, a Starbucks, a bar, a restaurant. Lots of services within the hotel. Very clean and updated. Overall a great place to stay!

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in mid-August 2012 for a conference. I really liked the hotel location as it's right on the River Walk which consists of a winding canal (river) surrounded with shops, restaurants and bars along both sides of the canal. They offer River walk boat cruises down the canal. The weather was very hot in August. The hotel room was very good, very comfy bed and linens and the staff were great. I would not hesitate to stay there again or even refer family friends to stay at this hotel.

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. Had an early flight into San Antonio and were able to check into our room earlier than expected. In fact, we were offered our choice of a view room or one away from the elevator. Although we were located on a floor with 2 "party" suites, the rooms seem to be soundproofed to some degree and our white noise machine took care of the overflow noise.
Not sure when the last update occurred but our room seemed nicely done and clean. Vanity is outside of the bathroom which is around the corner from the sleeping area and worked very well in not disturbing the later sleeper. Room would seem small for 4 people and their luggage, but fine for 2 of us. Would be great to have a fridge and wifi in the room.
The employees at this hotel seemed to have had some really nice training. We were there for 5 nights and encountered many pleasant employees throughout the hotel. There always seemed to be a manager overseeing the lobby & greeting guests. Orlando, the concierge who helped us in multiple ways, went above and beyond to assist us. We really appreciated him.
The location is great with the mall within a few steps and everything was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
