We just got home from our visit from San Antonio. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency for 2 days. We were a little surprised that there wasn't a shuttle to transfer you to the hotel from the airport. So we got a taxi which cost $26 and only took 15 - 20 min. to get to the hotel. We arrived early and our room was ready. We were on the 8th floor and the room was a nice size for us four adults. Maids were quick to bring extra towels and washcloths. We did go to the roof top pool. For how small the pool is they kept the temperature of the water rather cool and refreshing. The bartender at the pool bar was very helpful with reccommending the restaurants and directions. We did hear that the pool will be expanding in the near future. I enjoyed the pool area. The gym looked rather nice, didnt use it though. The first night it did seem a little noisy with a party going on a couple doors down. But I'm sure we were loud. In the morning also with the workers working on the building inside and out. We did eat at the Q for breakfast. Decided to get the buffet which was very good. They made what ever kind of egg you wanted, fresh fruit and a lot of other choices but a little pricey. $18 per person. Not sure if I ate $18 worth of food, but the food and service was good! Had a great time enjoying the food tasting on thursday, having drinks at Rita's,Rainforest Cafe and a few others, going to the market, eating at Mad Dog's and the Tower of America. Awesome view, food was amazing. Hotel was located perfectly on the riverwalk. Ready to plan another trip back bacause there's just so much to do just wasn't enough time. I did read some of the reviews on the hotel before I went on the trip but i wanted to get a view for myself. Would stay here again.

Staying here right now and am surprised by the five star reviews, it's a nice enough hotel, nice clean rooms and comfy beds, great location but nothing that special really especially the hallways and lifts that are looking their age. Go here for the location as the river walk is really great for eating and drinking but the hotel is fairly average so I seriously wouldn't expect too much by following these reviews, it's just a nice large business hotel. Hate the self service check in btw - asked the girl to check me in which she happily did.

We stayed from September 2, 2011 thru September 4, 2011. We received excellent customer service from the time we pulled up until we checked out. The self check-in process was fast and easy. The front desk clerk offered to show us how to use the system. We had a corner room on the 9th floor. The room and bathroom were larger than I had expected as I had stayed in this hotel before in 2008. The room was very clean. We requested a refrigerator for private use and was accomadated immediately. Every staff member we came in contact with from the front desk to housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is directly on the riverwalk so there is no need for a car. If you do choose to drive or rent a car the parking is just across the street. You will be able to leave your car out front while you check in. If you use the self check-in your key will not work when trying to access the parking garage. Just have the front desk to activate parking for you. We had an erroneous charge for a movie on our bill when checking out but the desk clerk removed the charge no questions asked. I give this hotel 4 stars! This will definately be one of 2 choices next time I visit San Antonio.

I stayed in this this summer for four nights and received the bill for US$ 734.39. However, when I arrived home and checked my credit card statement. I was charged US$ 944.54. I sent email to their customer service and no response so far. In another website, I found another customer who shared the same experience with this hotel.

Kathy,
After following up with our front desk management team, we're happy to hear that we were able to resolve your billing issues. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We can assure you that this is not our standard at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio. We hope you will give us the opportunity in the future to provide you with the service you, and we, expect.

Rooms were very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Had the pleasure of being on the top floor with its great views of the city. Staff were always helpful. Bagel place on the mail floor was a perfect place to catch a quick breakfast. Part of the city waterway flows through the bottom floor of the hotel which provided a relaxing atmosphere.

We traveled to San Antonio July 20th-23rd and stayed at the Hyatt Riverwalk. What a fabulous hotel! Very welcoming and beautifully designed. When you arrive at the hotel, you are greeted by a bellman and asked given the option to valet your car or self park in the garage. The valet parking is very much worth the price - appx $33. Checking in was very fast. Frank, the bellman, quickly gathered our luggage and showed us to our room. He was a very nice gentleman who offered assistance anytime we needed it. Rooms were a little smaller than we expected and beds are tiny but everything else was so nice that we forgot about the little things! This hotel is literally right on the riverwalk. We just can't say enough about the beauty of this hotel. The roof top pool was amazing. To go up at night & look at the beautiful city lights was truly unforgetable. We took our boys who are ages 11 & 14 to Sea World during our stay. However, they were in a hurry to get back to the hotel for the roof top pool! Staying at this hotel was a vacation in itself. We plan to return to San Antonio in the future & wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else but here.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel last weekend of July 2011 to celebrate my birthday. Long line for check-in, i guess due to summer holiday. Valet parking is a bit pricy $33 + tax. If you want to self park, the parking garage is across the hotel.

we had great room with the Alamo view..Very simple, clean and modern room. The swimming pool on the roof top is small for hyatt hotel.

Landing jazz on the river has great live music on Saturday nite, Brunch at the Q restaurant is a must.

Hotel location is great. Walking distance to so many great places on the riverwalk..

Room Tip: Simple, modern, clean
