This place has the best tortillas in SA. Both flour and corn. Good food. Checkout can be slow due to only one register and the person checking out also takes phone orders.

While visiting San Antonio, we checked Trip Advisor for food suggestions for breakfast. We went to the first choice but when we got there, an hour wait. Ruthies had good reviews so we took the plunge.

Breakfast was great and the people very friendly. The tortillas were fresh and very tasty and omelet was great. Very nice surprise.

I have been to ruthies a few times now and the food is pretty consistent with the exception of the carne guisada I tried it and the meat was tough and lacked flavor other than that most of my experiences have been very good.

We have only been to Ruthie's for breakfast, but we have been many times, and both the food and service are always excellent. Ruthie's serves Mexican food, and makes all their tortillas by hand. Whenever we are visiting San Antonio, I always look forward to having breakfast there at least once. The restaurant is fairly small, and is usually quite busy. There are lots of plants outside and inside, lots of windows, and the colors are bright. It is altogether a pleasant place to eat. They are open only until 3pm on Sundays and Mondays.
