“Great hotel”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

This hotel is next to a huge convention centre and the famous Riverwal. However it is a very big hotel and many people are coming and going it is very clean and the staff are efficient. I didn't need to wait more than few minutes at the reception. The staff were very helpful and offered my a room with a good view at the top of the hotel. The room was great and I'll go back if I visit San Antonio.

Great hotel, excellent service, perfectly located to famous Riverwalk with lots of great restaurants and shops. Relatively new Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on property - love that place! Perfect for pleasure or if you're attending a conference at the convention center located next door.

The hotel is located just next to the Convention Center and Riverwalk. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The front desk staff kindly provided a me room even though I arrived at the hotel before check-in time. The room was very clean. The lobby was nice. I really enjoyed staying at the hotel. Riverwalk is steps away from the hotel. This hotel is strongly recommended to those who will visit Convention Center or Riverwalk. The staffs are very friendly with all smiles.

We were in 23th floor and the view was wonderful.
The breakfast food was very good and people were friendly and cheerful.
People at the reception were very helpful. We were treated in a royal way. We are planning to come to this hotel again. I will strongly recommend this hotel to my other family members and friends. It is close to Alamo (a must see historical place). You can plan to ride the boat in the river at the market place, lunch or dine at the many spectacular restaurants. You can also enjoy shopping from the many nearby shops.

Room Tip: We were in 23th floor and the view was wonderful. The breakfast and people were friendly and cheer...

A huge thank you for an amazing experience. Judy, Angie and Mo were incredibly kind, welcoming and most of all, made us laugh. Thank you for helping us make another experience on mom's bucket list incredible. If you're going to be staying at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, pay the extra for the concierge floor! The staff makes it worth the cost! Thanks again ladies - we miss you already!

Even though this hotel has been around for a few years, this is my 1st stay since I have been travelling to San Antonio. This hotel is on the south side of the convention center.

Arrived at appx. 4:15 pm on Fri. afternoon. There was a convention in progress, but there are 2 driveways to handle cars dropping off luggage and passengers. Checked in quickly with prepaid reservation, and then self-parked my car. Finally a luxury hotel in downtown S.A. with AMPLE parking. Even though it is underground, and the lot is pretty dark, I found a space on level 3 of 5 both nights that I stayed.

Had to wait about 20 minutes for bellhop to bring luggage, but no big deal. Room smelled fresh and clean when I walked in. Shower curtains, pillows, sheets - all A-1. The only thing that caught my attention was that I was in the middle of two other adjoining rooms. I hadn't seen that configuration before, but I don't think either room was rented during my stay.

Bathroom had the automatic off /on light for energy conservation, and I like that kind of stuff. Other lights are manual. Minimal toiletries in room, but they can be ordered free of charge if you call Guest Services.

Went to the Baja Rojo on Fri. nite. Missed the Sushi Bar, but was able to get a kick@$$ quesadilla that didn't taste like taco bell. Hats off to the Chef. The place was full of both young and middle aged alike.

Room Tip: Stayed in Room 1510.

Green Features: On/off timer switch for bathroom. I saw recycle bins for glass and paper in the elevator lobbies.

I've stayed at several Grand Hyatts and this one is my least favorite. Nice lobby/public areas, but the rooms are small, poorly updated and dirty. I used self check in which was fine, room service which was good, but will not return because the bathroom was disgusting. After a long day of travel the last thing I want to see is other people's hair all over the bathroom floor.
