We had lunch at Soluna. This place was very busy,
but the service was amazing.
They have several ladies dedicated strictly to keeping your tea and water glasses topped off. I have not seen much better anywhere. It is almost
like an obsession, but on a hot Texas afternoon the
refills are appreciated.
This is a relatively new business, it replaced a Chuy's. It seems as if it has been here quite awhile.
I would call Soluna an upscale Mexican restaurant.
The menu has no cheap lunch deals, but there is quality here.
They start with a great smokey flavored tomato salsa. You can ask for two more mas caliente salsas.
A green tomatillo and a spicy red orange salsa. Chips were good and all included.
We ordered the chicken quesadilla plate. This was about the best quesadillas we ever had. It was grilled to perfection. The chicken breast strips were moist, the cheese plentiful, and the pico di gallo gave it a great taste. It came with guacamole and lettuce. The tortilla was grilled crispy like a taco shell and very tasty. The borracho beans and rice were tasty.
The chili relleno was a bit mild and watery for my taste, the frijoles were good, and the rice OK.
We have outstanding service and one really great
entree so Soluna will merit more visits.
