“Scrumptious Pizza - even the dessert was good!!”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

We celebrated our daughter-in-law's birthday here and we had a great time! We sat outdoors, and the weather was perfect considering it is the middle of July. Fralo's is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. We ordered two pizzas and both were sooooooo good! The crust was perfect and the ingredients fresh. We also ordered the Greek and House salads, both were very good! Fralos's is a BYOB place with a $5 set-up fee. This is very cool, because you can bring your own favorite alcohol. Our server was courteous and friendly; he took some great pictures of all of us, made sure our glasses were full, and threw in some great conversation on top of all that. Fralo's has live music; and yesterday they had a couple of guys playing acoustic guitars and singing all of the great folk classics; it made for a perfect birthday event. For the finale, we ordered Tiramisu and hot Apple pie...wow; very tasty! Our server even brought us a candle. It was a great time, check them out, you will have a great time too.

“So so....”
Reviewed July 12, 2013 via mobile

This is my second time eating at this pizza place and not much has improved. The food is so so and the prices are so high for what you actually get. The atmosphere is fun, live music at night. But the service has never been stellar and tonight we didnt get our change back when paying with cash.

We are thankful for your comments and would like to ask you for the name of your server. If they did not share it with you - you could possibly find it on your receipt. We would like to discuss their performance with them in order to improve service and also so that they are trained to better the experience should someone have the same concerns. Lori

“Fralo's, take three, superb and consistent”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

This is our third trip to and third review of Fralo's. In sum, our meals have been fair, superb, and superb. This time, we had the spanako pizza. The ingredients were tasty and perfectly cooked, and we especially liked the thinly sliced lamb, which, to my surprise, goes much better on pizza than ground. The waiter was especially attentive, made good beer recommendations from the variety of styles offered, and he served our meal promptly and hot. After two fantastic meals, we're convinced that excellence is the norm at Fralo's. We'll be back again, en appetit.

“Tasty and Delicious Pizza”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

The staff and cook at this restaurant were extremely friendly and attentive. We had a GREAT pizza and the Greek salad was well presented and delicious. A very down-to earth atmosphere and an excellent place for lunch. I have yet to eat dinner and enjoy the live music.

“Fralo's--take two, much improved”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our second trip to Fralo's. Initially, the servers overlooked us, but an alert waiter noticed and thereafter the service was excellent. Our waiter even fetched the bartender to answer a question about a beer, which, alas, he couldn't, but we appreciate an honest "I don't know." In a review of our first visit, I wrote that the pizza was ordinary; this time, the pizza was superb. Chicken and pine nuts topped a perfectly textured crust, light yet pleasantly chewy, and a judicious splash of some very tasty olive oil made for excellent eating. To drink, we had the Jester-King Noble King, a moderately hoppy (despite its description as "abundantly" hoppy) organic beer brewed in nearby Dripping Springs. (Don't let the $13 price tag scare you off; the bottle contains 750mL and it's excellent, especially if you find that the American IPAs have gotten too hoppy.) We're delighted that the owners are serving local products. From the stage, a lone singer-guitarist performed mostly country music (my wife said something about channeling Lyle Lovett). She played well, had a pleasant voice (and this from a fan of classical music and opera) and the amplification left room for conversation. All in all, a memorable meal that lived up to the "art of" part of the restaurant's name, and well worth the price. We look forward to more evening motorcycle rides to Fralo's.
