Description: Dough Pizzeria Napoletana is an authentic Neapolitan Pizzeria featuring two ovens that cook your pizza at 900 degrees + in 90 seconds! We make our own fresh Mozzarella daily. We source as many of our products as possible from local farmers and import most items from Italy. We offer patio seating, inside dining room seating and seating around our pizza bar and wine bar. Our coffee, Kimbo Coffee, is imported from Naples, Italy. We offer an all-Italian wine list and craft beers. Our menu changes seasonally to make sure we are offering the freshest, in season products as possible. Dough Pizzeria Napoletana San Antonio is located less than 10 minutes from the San Antonio International Airport-convenient for both business and pleasure travelers. We stopped by this place because it was #14 on trip advisor. This place did not disappoint. We ordered the pork lovers and the rionocotti appetizer. Both were just amazing. By far the best pizza we've ever had. The appetizer was a random pick and a great pick it was! The cheese was perfection. I can't say enough good things about this place. Very Italian, they offer sparkling water or flat water to start off with standard Italian ingredients. We also ordered a desert, the lemoncello. The right amount if sweetness and lemon flavor. We sat next to the kitchen which was entertaining. We watched the employees turn out pizzas like pros. One of the cooks talked to us while we ate and made recommendations. Overall this place deserves the 5 star rating and we will be back.

We went there because we saw this place on Diners, Drive In's, and Dives. We were there on a Thursday evening for dinner and arrived about 6:15 pm. It looked liked we would be in for a wait to get a table but were seated right away. The place was crowded but the service was pretty good. Our waiter asked us if we had dined there in the past, and when we said no he explained the menu and the offerings before he left us to review the menu. Very nice as the menu had appetizers we were not familiar with. We ordered the Burrata Napoletana appetizer which is a ball of hand pulled mozzarella cheese, served with what I assume was hand made flat bread. It was excellent! The bread was very good, soft and had a wonderful flavor and the mozzarella cheese ball was just fabulous.
For our main course we ordered two different pizza's. Each pizza we were old was 11" round and was a thin crust with a thick outside edge. The first pizza was a Pork Love consisting of Sopressata salami, sausage, pancetta, speck, house pulled mozzarella, tomato sauce. The second pizza was a Sausage, made with fresh panna, house-made sausage, onion ribbons, pistachios, parmigiano reggiano. The pizza we were told are cooked in a 800 degree oven and cooked for about 1.5 minutes. Both pizza's were excellent. we had left overs of both pizza and appetizers. We had no flat bread for the left over for cheese and asked for a small amount to take with us since it was so good. No problem our waiter said, but he added there would be a small extra charge. Over all, the dining experience, service and food was top notch. I might add we drank water with our meal, which was complimentary, and had no alcoholic drinks or soda. Our bill for the meal was just over $60.00 not including the tip. The dinner and service was excellent, however, for 2 pizza's and an appetizer costing over $60.00 is a bit much for our budget. If cost is not an issue, then you can not go wrong with this restaurant, and I would highly recommend it.

Let me start by saying, my wife and I are foodies and truly enjoy sharing meals that makes us happy. Dough Napoletana Pizza is definitely what the doctor ordered when it comes to an authentic Wood Burning Oven Pizzeria, located conveniently just off Blanco Rd.

To be honest, my wife and I attempted to eat here on Saturday night roughly around 7:30PM... How foolish we were as it is usually packed at every restaurant on Friday and Saturdays.
This Pizzeria was extremely packed and we understand why. We drove back the following day (Sunday) and decided to stop around 5:45PM... And yes, it was still packed. They only had one available table left inside and several outside. The outside might have been a better option with more elbow room for comfort. It was roughly 73 degrees a perfect night to eat out front, however we opted for the one table indoors.

It was a two seat table and was kind of on top of those other patrons around us. This would probably be the biggest negative for this restaurant outside of their pricing. Tight quarters and limited seating is an easy inconvenience to look past once Allison (our waitress) showed up with a great smile and her knowledge about what we were seeking to eat or eating. Excellent service and very attentive. The hostess was also very friendly and the service was exceptional.
Now onto the food.

We ordered as an appetizer the "Sampler" which consisted of the Rollatini, Richard's Caprese, Burrata & Prosciutto, & Flat Bread. WOW!!!! Excellent!!! You can literally just go for the five time filtered water (which needed no lemon) and the Sampler and it would be very satisfying.
We also ordered the Fontina Pizza (added Homemade Sausage) and the Blanca (actually thought it was Bianca). The Blanca was very tasty and the texture was great. The crust was not as crispy as the Fontina but still good nonetheless.

Allison offered and gave us the tomato sauce ($1) to add to pizza or flat bread as well as a sample of the Truffle Barata (excellent). The Fontina was very tasty. It did have an overpowering taste of sweet caramelized onions and the oak roasted mushrooms were very faint. The added homemade sausage was very good. It was of dry taste and a little spicy but gave the pizza nice texture. Finally, the flat bread was soft and saturated with Extra Olive Oil. It still was very good.

We had no room for dessert and even had to take some of our food to go. The Sampler was the highlight for us and will definitely go back for that specifically.

Overall our experience was an 8.5 out of 10. Great atmosphere and truly an excellent choice to try. We highly recommend the above and will go back several more times to try different samplers and desserts.

Found this place while visiting San Antonio and my fellow Trip Advisors did not let me down. The place was packed but staff kept up pace with out pushing people out the door. The service was energetic without being overbearing. All fresh ingredients which you pay for. Food was out in minimal time, manager stopped by to see all was well, which was an extra effort with all the guests both in and outside the restaurant. I have been stationed on the east cost and love the great Pies they make back there...this place could keep up.

We knew the pizza was going to be great when we arrived just before 9:00 p.m. on a rainy Sunday evening and the place was packed. Dough is now one of our top 3, if not the #1, pizza restaurants we've eaten at after seeing on DDD. Good service despite the crowd, and we managed to get seated quickly. Dough definitely earned a repeat visit on our next trip to San Antonio.
