Not sure if it was where we were sitting but the "storms" were a little loud, I would think it would scare younger children. Ask to be seated on lower floors.

Its location is perfect! Right at the riverwalk & on a corner. Central Parking is only a block away!
At check-in I was told it'd be about a 40 minute wait... It wasn't even 20 minutes. :) While waiting though, we were able to get some drinks at the bar. They were delicious!!! We had Margorillas (margaritas). The Shop was nice & the restaurant is very interesting. My 4 year old was a bit frightened of the snake & monkeys... But eventually got over it then ended up even enjoying the thunderstorm every 30 mins or so. We were seated on the 3rd floor. Our waiter was RICARDO & he was a GREAT waiter! We loved that the kids menu had a few different options other than the usual. THANK YOU RAINFOREST CAFE at the RIVERWALK for providing us w/ GREAT customer service, food, drinks & scenery!!!

This restaurant is huge! It's three stories, including a large gift shop. It was really fun for the kids to enjoy all the décor and special effects of the 'rainforest' The food was good. It is VERY expensive but it is a fun treat for the family. They even got balloon animals!

We didn't eat dinner until approximately 9:00pm. They were extremely busy. Once our table was ready, we were informed to walk upstairs where we will be seated. When we got to the top, we waited an additional 15 minutes while other who came up after us were seated. We had to ask the hostess about 3 times regarding when we were going to be seated. After we were seated, the food was average.

We ate here our first night in San Antonio. We were seated on the third floor within about 15 minutes of arriving at the podium. We ordered an appetizer platter to split. The food arrived hot and good. I ordered chicken parmesan and my mother ordered the rasta pasta. We both really enjoyed ours, but the portions were HUGE. You could easily split an entree between two people. The ambience was nice as well. They do come around to take your picture, in order to purchase on your way out. We just declined and they moved on. We would eat here again.
