It's hard to get on Post since 9-11 and once at the Quadrange, there are not many exhibits worth the time and effort to get there.

Historic site for all of the US. Not just military wise but territorial with the likes of the plains people and Indians! Geronimo was held prisoner here!!! amazing!

We were on base with family to celebrate my bro in law being promoted to LTC and we stopped here. I didn't really know what to expect, but I loved this! You walk in and immediately are greeted by chickens!! So cute! There is also a pond with ducks and geese (geese not quite as friendly!) Also, there are about 12 beautiful peacocks that roam around. They were in the trees and would come right up to you. THe deer were also very tame.

Make sure that you bring quarters so that you can get food for the deer and birds!!!

The history here is very interesting! A must see if you are on base!!

We spent about an hour here and had fun watching two little girls terrorize a flock of geese. What a lovely place to walk around and take pictures of peacocks, deer, geese, ducks. Well worth the stop and it's free! We only needed to show our driver's licenses to get in.

I'm a military kid, so maybe that's what makes this place special to me. It's a place of peace (and history) in the midst of a military base--that just seems right!
