“Just okay”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Jims has a variety of dishes and every day Monday through Friday they have a special.

I have had their steak, chicken fried ribeye, hamburgers, soup and salad.

Jim's soup (Chicken tortilla) used to be the best I had ever had, but they have stopped putting much chicken in it and now it's more like a broth than anything. We loved the soup, but no so much anymore.

They have a grilled chicken salad and it is delicious, it has grilled chicken, greens, real bacon bits, cheese, tomatoes and crutons. I love the combination of ingredients in this salad. Very tasty and healthy.

We just went there last week and had breakfast and I had the ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and an english muffin. It was really tasty. The service on this trip was horrible. My boyfriend and sister waited through more than half of their meal for waitress to bring more coffee, even though she said she would be back with coffee when she brought the meals over. They weren't busy, it was 1 am and we didn't get very good service.

“Best made from scratch buscuits in San Antonio”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

Jims is a San Antonio landmark, great place for breakfast or a quick meal. really good service, hot food and generally clean. The two that are on loop 410 seem be be the best consistent perfomers. It is a little old but generally well maintained.

“A San Antonio tradition for good food and great coffee”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

This is the place to go to when you want a good breakfast or a good hamburger and french fries. I have been visiting Jim's since I was a kid. Yesterday I ate the two egg breakfast and my husband had the fried pork chop breakfast. We always try to remember to order the hash browns crispy. It was all prepared exactly the way it should be, which is not always what you get at other restaurants.

“A little outdated, but good food”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

Jim's is a chain of restaurants and we've always found the food to be good in quantity and quality. Most customers are older citizens and the restaurant looks a little dated, but the value for what you pay is very good. Never had a bad meal or experience there!
