The food is good, the margaritas are great, the mariachis are entertaining. All of those items are part of why true fans of the Alamo City keep coming back, but the general ambiance closes the deal. The bakery and bar as you walk in, the thousands of lights surrounding you as you are escorted to a table or booth, the cooler than cool gift shop with the iconic Mi Tierra t-shirts that make you hesitate and stop on your way out -- it's a total experience, and the same coolness that made my friends and I abandon parties in Austin for 2 a.m. trips over 30 years ago is still there, as I celebrate an anniversary. With Los Barrios and the Blanco Cafe, it is a location not to be missed by the cult of Tex-Mex.

I wasn't sure what to expect. The Tex/Mex food on the Riverwalk had been average. What a surprise. The food was good, the service great. Very festive decorations. I am so glad we decided to eat here. I would go back.

Hadn't been to Mi Tierra's for years, but was delighted when I stopped by for Mexican "chocolate"(pronounced in Español). So festive, so cultural. Beautiful setting if you want typical Mexican fare.

I so enjoy eating here, even with a large group of 25! The staff are so accommodating, efficient, and ensure that all guests are dining at the same time!! A return visit is a must!!

A must when in San Antonio! Wonderful food, excited atmosphere, the best Pecan pralines ever, valet parking, and wonderful service! Beautifully decorated and better than any restaurant on the River Walk.
