This place is classic! Great tex-mex served by ladies and gents that really know their stuff. It is a tad overpriced for tex-mex, but the location calls for higher prices. The place is a wonder for the eyes and nose to behold. Full of glamor and great smells that you may have to wait for sometimes, but just get in line for some bakery treats while you wait. I have never been disappointed by anything in the bakery except that I don't buy enough. This is more expensive than it should be, but I get it anyway. The food is served quick and hot. The tea is replenished often and the mariachi's are loud enough that I never need ask them to sing for me and I still give them a couple bucks for entertaining me through out dinner! Go for a good time and good food and you won't be disappointed!

although this place is always packed with lines out the door they are very accommodating. We asked for a table for 6 on a Saturday around 1pm, had about a 30 minute wait but sat at the bar & had drinks and in no time our table was ready. absolutely awesome Tamales

This restaurant provides you with a taste of the food, the culture and the history of Texas and of San Antonio. It is attached to a market place which is well worth a visit. The decor a authentic and the mariachis are excellent. Listen to Pablo on the Mexican guitar!
The chili rellaneos (spelling) are the best I have eaten in a very long time.
