Mi Tierra located in the Mercardo is a family run restaurant offering the opportunity to mingle with all kinds of people. You will find formal attire to shorts and sandals in this restaurant. The bakery itself is top notch while the food is excellent. Because of the location there is usually a line of folks waiting to be seated. It's worth the wait.

The food and ambience are decent and the attached bakery good. Often crowded with a wait. I prefer other Mexican restaurants in town.

We went on a Thursday afternoon and there was a waiting list. We were seated within 5 minutes. It was very festive and the staff was very friendly and attentive.
We ordered off the lunch menu. The selections were varied and reasonably priced.
We all enjoyed it. The only problem we ran into was that the bakery was so busy we couldn't get up to view the large assortment to make a selection and order. We could have waited but we were so full we just left.

This place is a must for tourists. Food is real Tex-Mex. They also have authentic Mexican food as well. Real mariachi and authentic entertainment. Service is very good. It is a must if visiting SA!

Recommended as a place to eat by hotel clerk. Downtown about 7 blocks from the "River Walk".
Place was very busy, but was given a reasonable waiting time. Service was thorough and friendly. Meal was very good. I had enchiladas that were different that what I've had in other Mexican restaurants. My wife order pork and steak tacos. We both liked what we were served. Prices were reasonable. Restaurant is colorfully decorated, makes dining there enjoyable. Would return again if we have the opportunity.
