“Take a number!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2014

We needed coffee...and rolls! Mi Tierra bakery works on the number system. Take a number and then admire the baked goods behind the glass of the bakery display cases. You could admire first, but when the place fills up with noon time customers you might have a long wait. If you are geting a beverage be sure to Order It With Your Baked Goods. We ordered coffees from the cashier. She was in front of the coffee machine. She acted like it was a chore to fill up a cup. Maybe she did not want to stop talking to her amiga to serve the Anglos? We asked for cream, she said it was out there, nodding her head toward the condiments. No, it was sugars. She had to reach behind her to get the bowl of little creamers. Sorry to make you work so hard senorita!
We sat on the patio and had our treats, then used the restrooms in the restaurant. Even if you 'don't have to go' go anyway. The restaurant is beautiful and so is the bathroom.

“best mexican cuisine I tried ever”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2014

I stumbled on this place on Market Square following the guidance of tripadvisor users. i wasn't disappointed. Evenso the mariachi are obviously here for entertaining tourists, the cuisine is just fine and the staff welcoming. It's a good choice in the Market Square area.

Best Mexican food I have ever had. Spent 2 weeks in San Antonio and that's the best place to eat mexican food. Must visit!

“Best Flavor and Ambience In San Antonio”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2014

If I was going to recommend ONE restaurant to any visitor to San Antonio, will be Mi Tierra, it is the quintessential example of what we all love about being from San Antonio! The bar is cozy, the bakery is to die for and the mood is always fun and a bit hurried. The Margaritas are very refreshing, and the Enchiladas are just spicy enough.
