We went to the Market Square and found out that most spots opened at 10 a.m. We walked around for about 30 mins and then went in to the Caffe. We ordered our treats, but were not too impressed. My husband ordered a Tres Leches cake. He couldn't finish it, as it was sickly sweet. I ordered a cream filled pastry, which turned out to be very dry, not moist as promised. However, we ordered a Mexican Hot Chocolate which was the best we have ever tried before.

The service was excellent and the food portions generous and tasty. The decors was a little overdone.

From the Restaurant to the Bakery, there is lots to like here at Mi Tierra Cafe and Bakery. The Panaderia and Dulces are excellent choices from the Bakery in the front of the restaurant. My wife and I have several cookies and pasteries that we especially like. We also like the Breakfast choices that always seem to top lunch and dinner selections as far as we are concerned. Selections abound for when you want to order Mexican fare.

Wow! They have a nice bakery at Mi Tierra in the Mexican market area in San Antonio. We have eaten at the restaurant several times, too, and the food was your average Tex-Mex but they do have a large variety and the service is always good and the beer cold. They are open 24 hours a day. We always take dessert back to the hotel from the bakery for later. Nice selection of cookies and the pralines are so fresh and delicious.

Just recently went to Mi Terra for some of their delicious Mexican pastries and baked breads. I remember coming here when i was little a girl with my Grandmother while visiting SA and it's just as i remember.
The food was not always the best from what i remember, but the bakery/cookies etc. are amazing!! Huge selection and all are very good and true to Mexican pastries.

If you are in the neighborhood you have to stop by!
Very good!!
