At the risk of being disparaging, Tex-Mex food is a very, very distant cousin of real Mexican cuisine. About the best thing I can say about it is that it's so bland it's not about to give you ulcers. I found it overpriced, and loaded with carbohydrates, cheese, red meat - everything except flavor. It's hard to find decent Mexican food in San Antonio, regardless what you spend. You're better off going to Tacos Martinez or Veronica's on Highway 90 if you want to try something really tasty.want

I love the atmosphere at Mi Tierra but we have eaten here twice now and the food is just okay. I guess it's not what I expected and some may love it but not me. The bakery is great and everyone loves when I bring home treats from there but next visit we will only go for the bakery and eat elsewhere.

Mi Tiera is colourful, fun, has a mariachi band and is a constant bustle of activity and energy. What's not to like?

The food is good solid fare, with plenty of variation in the menu. Service is quick and friendly. Waiters are happy to explain various items on the menu. Prices are reasonable. We dropped in at about 10.00pm at night and it was still a hive of activity. When we left we took pastries to go.

You owe it to yourself to visit Mi Tiera when in San Antonio if for no other reason, the atmosphere!

Love the restaurant!! Great quest, chips & sauce. We had tacos and enchiladas that were really tasty. Nice waiter even though it was very crowed, he was fast and friendly. Mariachi band was awesome! Plus it's in El Mercado that's a really cool place.

Wonderful place. Colorful. Festive. Excellent food. Excellent service. They have an ultra-groovy mural of famous people on the wall including the dog whisperer. Gotta love that!
