“Cool Drink across from the Alamo”
Reviewed May 27, 2014

Cold drinks and tasty food right across the street from The Alamo. The bar is lively in the afternoons with travelers, conventioneers and locals. Try the blackened shrimp starter, its delicious.

“Oro Restaurant was great!”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

The last night of our trip to San Antonio, we were dead tired and looking for someplace close to our hotel. I remembered seeing Oro Restaurant at the Emily Wilson Hotel. We got a reservation and am very glad we did. The service was first-rate, the ambiance was quiet, modern elegance. I started with the avocado and tomato salad that was served with crabmeat, husband had the she-crab soup - both were delicious. I followed with the angus burger (not sure what they use for seasoning, but it was very good), and he had the brisket sandwich that he pronounced messy but great. We both thought the French fries could have been a crisper (they came out a little cold and greasy). Overall, a casual upscale restaurant and a nice way to end our visit. Would definitely recommend if you are in San Antonio near the Alamo.

“Start off day with breakfast.”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

Only had breakfast this time. Delicious. Fruit was fresh and so was the cottage cheese and yogurt on the bar. Eggs, potatoes, and french toast, hot and delicious. The only thing missing, in San Antonio of all places….fresh salsa!!!

“Late Night Burger Feast”
Reviewed February 8, 2014

Hungry from my flight I dived head first into a fairly limited menu, Burger came promply as ordered with good service and it tasted great, I cant fault it and bearing in mind the bar was shutting in ten minutes it was just what the doctor ordered,

Had the buffet breakfast the following morning whilst limited selection it all tasted good although the coffee could have been better,

Given the burger I would have though it would have been better but everything is surpassed by the great staff
