“Yum!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2014

We walked to this place from downtown via the street and returned via the Riverwalk. On a nice day it was a good way to see some of the city.

Very quirky interior, but comfortable. The place seemed to have more locals than tourists, which is usually a good sign. We were a party of 6 each ordering a different sandwich. All were presented nicely and were tasty. My favorite was the plate of petite fours which were miniature brownies etc. I was expecting something fancier but the were very good and worth the 2.99 price tag.

“Yummy all around!”

Quick service, very accommodating, great coffee, and creative menu. Try the greek salad that has feta, cukes, sundried tomatoes, olives, field greens, and chicken...delish!

“Nice but not what I expected”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

The food at this place was nice, and suited our purposes just fine, but from the website I had the mistaken idea that this was a fancier place where one would go for a tea party. In reality it is very quirky and ramshackle, and although I have no complaints about it I do not think I would select it for an event venue or a special treat kind of place. It reminded me more of a quirky diner than a tea house. But the food was decent and the tea was nice.

“Brunch and lunch - both were great”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

We had breakfast here and enjoyed it so much we came back a few days later for lunch! It is sort of self serve - you come in, take a menu, sit down and decide what you want - order at the counter and then get a sign to take back to your table so they deliver your food to you. The coffee (excellent!) is self serve - lots of variety of mugs to choose from. There are multiple rooms with fun decor - many tables have a window view.
Breakfasts of english muffin french toasted and the egg scrambler of the day were both excellent - portions were not too huge and they were very tasty.
Lunch of sandwiches (clubhouse on a great grainy bread, turkey half - sliced round deli turkey but great avocado spread) and field greens was fresh and tasty.
Only complaint was lack of a receipt for the meals but we didn't ask - just noticed it later. Best recall is about $25 plus tip for either meal for two - well worth it.

“Loved the Atmosphere, the Staff, and the Food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2014

This is the type of cafe/bakery/coffee house place that seems as though you have wandered into the neighborhood hangout and you feel immediately at home. As soon as we walked in, a member of the staff welcomed us and told us how to order, etc. The food was quite good, the pastries terrific, and the staff was really nice. Just a great place to drop in and have a cup of coffee and a pastry; lunch or whatever, and hang out talking with friends, reading a book, working or just relaxing. Nice place!
