Silo's at Stone Oak is well known but this one on Austin Highway not so much. What a fabulous restaurant. We made reservations and it was a good thing because it was very busy (perhaps due to the Groupon Coupon). We ordered a spinach salad that was great and we had the sea bass and the scallops. Absolutely fabulous food. The drinks were a little disappointing. We ordered a "top shelf" margarita but they were way too sweet. We didn't want to complain but probably should have. But, other than this it was perfect. We didn't order a dessert; we were too full. We would highly recommend.

This is a cool place to enjoy. Lots of food variety. Very nice place. Only drawback is it's a little expensive but it's a nice place to take the family. Good stuff. Well done.

1) Friendly service with a smile
2) Excellent presentation of the food
3) Very good quality and taste of the food
4) Premium feeling decor and environment
5) Good variety on the menu including prix fixe menu
6) Lots of wines to choose from

Finally as a tip: Groupon does not entitle you to any of the specials or the prix fixe menu. (Wednesday was half-price wines and one of the 3 of us wanted a prix fixe, so we just simply did not use the groupon. It was cheaper and better to steer clear of the groupon.)

I took my wife and son to Silo's on Mother's Day this year for a late brunch lunch package. I love coming to this place. The restaurant sits above a bar and only an elevator will bring you up. The ambiance is very clean and classy with a large dark wood bar and wine shelving that encompasses two walls. The kitchen is an open concept showing the chef and staff attending to the menu selections. Our server Eric was attentive and respectful, giving plenty of time for us to enjoy our full 3 courses during our meal. The food was excellent, both in taste and presentation. The Duck Confit really shined with a very smokey flavor. This is definitely and great spot for a romantic date, especially since the background chatter and activity can be easily heard all around.

I rated this restaurant as one of the best meals I've had. From the food to the waiter (Barney) to the wine (check the selection WOW!) to the ambiance - everything was fantastic. I had the pork shank and had plenty to eat. My wife had the sea scallops and they were just as delicious. The restaurant was quiet and subdued and a nice place to get dressed up and have a very nice dinner. I wouldn't bring my small children to the restaurant, as I didn't see much on the menu for kids. It seems a slighter older group of people. The meal for two with drinks and an appetizer was $120 (as of 4/2014).
