Never been dissapointed here. The five spice duck is probably my favorite entree - pan roasted breast and confit leg with almond & apricot couscous - delilighful! The seared sea scallops are another standout - so tender and succulent. I recently tried the shrimp & grits and was not dissapointed! The grilled shrimp are served atop cheddar grits with tassos ham, yummm! I also recently tried the jumbo lump crabcake and shrimp - wow - the crabcake was "meaty" and the shrimp served atop angel hair pasta had a surprisingly smokey flavor - delectable! Can't go wrong with the spinach salad served with fried brie, applewood smoked bacon, rasberries & dried apricots. The endive salad with candied walnuts & pear slices is also very good. I love this place - but it can be pricey.

Always a very good meal.

I had shrimp & grits with Tasso ham. Excellent.

Spouse had scallops w/garlic mashed. Also excellent.

Special appetizer of foie gras with blackberry reduction good but definitely not worth $22.50. Next time I will ask price of the specials. Signature dish (chicken fried oysters) much better deal at $12.50.

I prefer this location (the original) over 1604.

As usual, excellent service.

The salmon was very good as well as the garlic mashed potatoes, but both were out-shined by the asparagus. Very well prepared with just the right amount of seasoning to enhance the flavor of the asparagus. I would have rated the restaurant higher except for the excessive noise coming from the open kitchen and the "industrial look" which tends to reflect any noise or conversations. There was background music, but it couldn't be heard above the kitchen noise which rivals other fast food restaurants.

Reading all the boffo reviews for Silo my BW and I were anxious to partake.
We arrived on a Sunday evening just as they opened.
We were greeted and seated by a friendly hostess.
Our server was nice and friendly, but a little new.
We had checked out the menu and decided to order two Caesar salads, the chicken fried oysters, and the Surf and Turf including more oysters.
This is not an inexpensive eating place.
Our salads were below average. A medium flat plate containing romaine lettuce with salad dressing on top
was their version of a Caesar salad. The dressing had no zing, and no cheese was provided. This salad compared badly to many others we have enjoyed.
The fried oyster entree came with angel hair pasta, and steamed spinach. This was tasty.
The Surf and Turf came as one unit. The mashed potatoes, spinach and fried oysters were all together on the plate. The rather small single medallion of beef wasn't cooked as requested.
I had spinach, mashed potatoes, fried oysters with
Hollandaise sauce all together. What a mess.

Had dinner there on a Monday night. Ordered off the price fixed menu. Had the chicken fried oysters based on other reviews. Most excellent. Used a Groupon which actually does not apply to the price Fixed, but not clearly stated on the Groupon. Waitress honored it anyway.
Excellent service. All the people who worked there seemed very friendly and pleasant. Makes the dining experience so much more enjoyable.
Some good values on the wine list. Portion sizes are good, though some gluttons may be put off.
Very good lighting and acoustics. Many of these type places have horrible acoustics.
One quirky thing - the downstairs is the bar and that is where the restrooms are. Upstairs is the restaurant.
