This was a surprise. I was brought here as a guest for lunch and the place is very cool and has a great feel to it. We were greeted and seated immediately. The food was fantastic and it was truly amazing. We had appetizers of the house specialty Signature Chicken Fried Oysters which were truly awesome and also Crispy Duck Springrolls which were great. We each had the Prix Fixe Menu and the baby spinach salad and pan seared scallop entree were excellent. Most amazing were the desserts! The Dark Chocolate Truffle Mousse was awesome and the cheesecake was great. Kudos to the pastry chef!! This is really an outstanding restaurant and worth every penny.

I liked everything about Silo - the decor, service, and of course the food. Went to the 1604 location with some good friends, we all had something different from the prix fixe menu, and we were all very satisfied with our selections. This is a special occasions restaurant, and a good alternative to the standard hi-end steak house that people often go to for anniversary, birthday, etc. You will certainly spend $100+ for 2. It is not inexpensive, but I think the value is there for what you are getting. I know I will go back a few times a year for the right occasion.

Very unique food. There are two locations, one north and one closer to downtown. Both are fantastic. most ingredients are local or very fresh. their wine list is extensive and the bar that is attached is a great place to have a drink to start. often they have live music.

The location is odd, but once inside it is very nice. We dined here with a large group for business and everyone was pleased with the food. We had the oysters, tuna, beef lettuce wraps and mussels to start. im not a huge oyster lover, but they were fantastic! The soup was a navy bean broth based and it was very good and nicely seasoned. I had the scallops and while they were perfectly cooked, I felt the sauce was a tad too sweet. The service was very good. I sampled another diners lamb and it was delicious!

Outstanding food and service. Oysters were fantastic. Real gourmet in the heart of Texas. Best food in San Antonio. Unusual location in a strip mall but once you arrive and go up to the second floor you enter a nice restaurant.
