“Bland breakfast”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

If you like a cheap breakfast without any flavor this is your place. Veggie omlette was smothered in cheese but only had a few mushrooms and some guacamole on top. It came with a side of cantelope and potatoes. Tried 3 different breakfast tacos and they were very bland. Service was good. Salsa wasnot spicy. There was to be better mexican in town.

“Tradition, tradition, tradition”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

Easy to miss when you are driving by. A San Antonio tradition. Good food, and ample proportions. Great service.

“Underwhelmed but optimistic”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

Salsa was good, but the chips were stale and some of them tasted like the bottom of the popcorn bag. I've never had chips that had that burny taste anywhere. They brought the chips in a bowl that wouldn't be big enough for a bowl of cereal. Certainly not enough for my family of four. We had to ask for two more bowls. The salsa bowl (only one) was also small and you couldn't even get some of the bigger chips down into the salsa. The food was fabulous, but the portions sizes were extremely small. My wife and I sometimes split meals at Mexican restaurants and go home full. Here we had two full meals and left hungry. The staff was not disinterested, but not overly attentive either. Again, the food was very good, but small portion sizes translate into overpriced food.

There Chicken Mole sauce is the best. Been twice this month and the service has been great. This is the best kept secret in the downtown area

“Authentic Tex-Mex”

Delicious Carne Asada with a smoky flavor. Perfectly cooked fluffy Spanish Rice paired with seasoned Refried Beans, a Cheese Enchilada and two home made flour tortillas. Great place for Real Food!
