Right next to its sister restaurant, the Little Rhein Steakhouse, The Fig Tree is nestled between The Hilton and the Aronson outdoor stage and theater on the Riverwalk. I have been coming here for over 30 years for the ambiance and food. Set on the slope from the street to the river, the tables descend on multiple terraces all the way down to the river bank. You can also sit inside when the weather does not permit al fresco dining, but to me sitting in the gazebo is a huge part of the charm. Top the ambiance off with wonderful food and it is always enjoyable. Last week we had the duck and salmon and both were superb. Bananas Foster and Baked Alaska flambeed table side (inside) was the icing on the cake.
