Wow, I was about to give up on ever finding a good restaurant on the Riverwalk. Finally something....

Las Canarias is French. The Duck Confit was off the hook. The service was even better. What was nice about the place is that it is on the opposite side of the river from the masses! You have the atmosphere without the noise and crowd...

Look for Las Canarias, it is a pleasant difference

The chef doing the omelettes was AWESOME!! Everything else was less than spectacular. Just a very odd selection and not much to choose from. For being as pricey as it is you would think there would be a much larger selection of normal breakfast fare. There wasn't even pancakes on the buffet?!

Lots of great restaurants on the San Antonio Riverwalk. I think this is the best. What a perfect evening. Great ambiance whether outside on the elevated patio overlooking the Riverwalk, or indoors in a wonderful dining room with Riverwalk views. What wonderful, friendly, accommodating service! Easy parking (free valet parking with validation). Fantastic upscale food, and very nice wine list. I had the Halibut, my wife had the scallops and both were excellent. Dress was casual (shorts for outside dinner are fine). The view of the Riverwalk activity is outstanding. If you are on the Riverwalk, either this or Boudro's are a must for dinner. Lots of places on the Riverwalk for lunch fare and Margaritas. This is the place for that 8 PM dinner.

My wife and I visited this restaurant last evening based on Trip Advisor reviews. Booked via Open Table. We were not at all disappointed. I give it a 4-star instead of a 5 only because it was not the best restaurant we've ever eaten at although I would rank it near the top of the "very-good" category. Service was 5-star

If you only have 24 hours on the Riverwalk, Las Canarias is a MUST! Forget the others.... Go straight to the best. We had drinks earlier in the day to discuss dinner.... And we were already there! Ask for "Joseph" as he knows where the 'Lovers Table' is... Ask for it. We made reservations at 9:00 and Joseph was waiting to answer ALL our questions about dining here. He was spot on! From the wine to the food. All was excellent. Unforgettable! THE most romantic dining whether inside or out ( of course we ate outside at the 'Lovers Table'). SUPERB!
