This restaurant is fairly new, but I understand that its chef is a fixture in San Antonio (previously at L'Etoile). The menu is prix fixe, rare for San Antonio, and is fairly priced at $45 for 4 courses plus an amuse-bouche to begin the meal. The portions are modest, but this is true gourmet cooking, and sometimes less is more. The grilled swordfish was sublime.
My only complaint was that the dining room somewhat lacked in atmosphere, and the chairs were small and lightweight. God help the person of size seated on one. The booths looked comfy, though.
