I traveled to San Antonio on business, but the stay here was an absolute pleasure. The front desk staff are great, and I was really happy with how well-appointed my room was. Definitely not a standard "business traveler" hotel! They have a restaurant with great views and an even better beer selection.
My only caveat is to book a view room, or you will be looking at the building next door. The rooms are so luxurious, however, that you may not mind.

Room Tip: Ask for a view room to avoid looking into a building.

Mokara is a perfect spot to stay while enjoying the pleasures and all that the San Antonio Riverwalk has to offer. It is in the heart of the action and conveniently located for all types of activities--people watching, fine dining, shopping, walking/hiking, enjoying the spa experience, etc. etc. Great experience overall.

I live in San Antonio and decided to take my wife to the Mokara for her birthday and we couldn't believe how awesome this hotel was! This hotel defiantly ranks in the top 3 hotels we have ever stayed in. We stayed in a spa room suite and it was spectacular. You could walk from your room to the spa in your robe. The room was top notch in décor and comfort. The service from everybody was outstanding.

The spa was great. My wife is a "spa expert" and she say's this place was better than any St. Regis spas we have been too.

I've seen many hotels in San Antonio since I live here and this is THE BEST HOTEL IN SAN ANTONIO. The only downside is its very expensive to stay here. So, if you don't mind spending the cash the Mokara is the place to stay.

Room Tip: This hotel sits right on the river walk with many restaurants and bars nearby.

We have visited San Antonio multiple times and have stayed at different hotels, but Mokara is above the rest in all categories. It's a little piece of heaven right around the corner. Located in the middle of the river walk it is ideally located to visit the cities most beautiful landmark. The restaurants and bars in the hotel have top notch food and drinks, there really is no reason to leave the hotel. The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful, it was home away from home. The turn down service and the bath service are just a few of the perks this hotel offers that separate them from the rest. The spa grounds are amazing and the spa services are a must try. Will definitely never stay anywhere else in downtown San Antonio.

We just returned from four nights in this exquisite hotel. Attention to detail must be their objective for nothing was overlooked. From the minute we arrived all staff referred to us by name whether it was in person or on the phone. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained. It's location was in the heart of the downtown and right on the Riverwalk. Petra, queen of Concierge, was helpful, knowledgeable and personable. The restaurant served excellent food and was located right at the river's edge. We did not use the spa but I must think it also measures up to these high standards. Nor did we get up to the roof café but I overheard other guests singing its' praises. Our room was large, comfortable and looked onto the Riverwalk. Each night our bed was turned down, the TV set to serene music and slippers and dark mask set out for us with a bottle of water placed bedside. We used room service which measured up to the hotel's high standards. The best four nights we have had in a hotel in many years. It also contained a small balcony with two comfortable chairs and a small table. BRAVO!

Room Tip: Get a room which overlooks the Riverwalk and is on a higher floor to get above the Riverwalk noise
