I really had no understanding of what went down at the Alamo, but this was rectified when we wet into the building at the perfect time for one of the guides was giving a talk on the battle at the diorama near the back. The grounds are lovely to walk around with plenty of shady spots on a hot day. The gift shop was the best one we went to throughout Alamo City. Allow 1 -2 hours for your visits, it's not huge.
