There's no admission fee. You learn a bit about Texas history. This takes less than an hour.

This is an amazing place, mainly because my ancestors gave their life here..the name Alsbury can be found in the book The Alamo, it is amazing, please make a donation, we have had vandals here, all donations will be greatly appreciated, watch your step before entering, the line you will cross is on the grounds in front of the entrance, with a plaque to read..enjoy history.

“Worth a stop and see.”
Reviewed May 17, 2012

There are so many facts about the Alamo battle that are just plain wrong and/or misleading.

A visit will help you understand what actually happened. Yes Davy Crockett did die there and yes its much smaller than you expect.

It was a mission and provided alot of services to the community during the time period.
