Experienced turn of the century beauty in an estate home filled with old world opulence. We spent a week living like royalty. Our every wish answered. It was like stepping into the past but enjoying the luxury of the 21st century. Deborah did not miss a thing. Fabulous cook & Hostess. You've set the bar high. Perfect location, tons to do. First friday is a blast!!

Room Tip: Every room is beautiful some are larger and will acomodate more that 2 people

We have just spent a wonderful 2 nights at this B & B in San Antonio. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Deborah is a wonderful host and her cooking is delicious. She is very and helpful as to what to see and do in San Antonio.
We would recommend this lovely place for anyone wishing to travel to San Antonio.

I came to San Antonio from New York to get away from the weather and see what the wonderful city had to offer. I didn't know what a wonderful experience Deborah would offer us. The first night there, she printed a list of places to see live music and offered local eateries to frequent. She made reservations at a restaurant (Bella's), called the owner directly, and was able to get us in that same night. She was unbelievably hospitable. I can't say enough kind words about Deborah, her staff, the household and hospitality. Thank you!!!

Deborah is a fabulous hostess. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Each morning brought a delicious breakfast. This was our first trip to San Antonio. Deborah provided us with many options for our 3 night stay as to what to do and where to eat. Each recommendation she made was a perfect depiction of our experience. What a gem!!!

Room Tip: Bluebonnet has a shower and a bathtub.

Thanks for staying with us. We hope to see you again if you return to this area. Don't forget our annual Fiesta celebration in April. The weather is nice and the city is alive with exciting things to do daily. Blessings!

My husband surprised me with a trip to San Antonio and a 3-night stay at Eva's Escape. We arrived the day after Christmas and were very late due to unexpected traffic on the way down from Dallas. We called Deborah (owner/innkeeper) to let her know and she was very gracious and waited for us to arrive. The house is beautiful and has a great location. It is an easy walk to the Riverwalk and there are plenty of local restaurants and bars to enjoy without going to the touristy ones that can be crowded.

We stayed in the Lavender Room and it was very nice. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Be warned, there is no shower in the room (my husband knew that when he booked the room). There is a claw foot tub in the room that has a hand-held shower component, but it splashes water on the hardwood floors so we didn't use it. The tub was actually really nice and it was fun to be able to soak and watch TV at the same time.

Breakfasts were great and I loved the stories about each meal. My favorite was the baked oatmeal. I had never had baked oatmeal before, but I am a huge fan. My husband's favorite was the sweet potato waffles. We really enjoyed the other guests at the B&B as well and chatted at length over breakfast.

The only slight issues are the noises at night. There is a restaurant right next door and there was a lot of noise as they took out trash and bottles at night and then again when the garbage truck came to pick it up. The trains were quite noisy in the early morning too. These aren't things that can be changed by the owners so it just has to be lived with. It wouldn't stop us from staying there again.

Loved it. We stayed here two nights including New Year's Eve. Watched the fireworks from the balcony. When we arrived we instantly felt welcome. We met a number of members of the family. All were delightful. The food was delicious and we loved the stories. Attention to detail and comfort was evident. Owners and staff were willing to go the extra mile to ensure a great experience. Easy walking tour of the King Williams area can begin right at the front door. Easy walk to the Riverwalk and to downtown. We plan to return to San Antonio and will make a point of staying at Eva's again. Some people and places just bring joy into your lives. These people and this place are certainly at the top of the list.

Room Tip: We stayed in the blue bonnet room and loved it.

We are honored to be called your friend. We had a great time with you and we are glad you met "the family". Eva thrived off of everyone feeling welcome and a part of family. Thank you for helping us to keep her legacy alive!

Travelers tip: Large fireworks displays happen twice annually in San Antonio. New Year's Eve and Independence Day. If you have not already made your reservations at any hotel/inn/ bed and breakfast with a view of the Tower of Americas, what are you waiting for? Rooms book fast and you can enjoy the fireworks from the comfort of your property.

We stayed here last night for New Year's Eve and loved it! The staff are all so helpful and friendly. The inn itself is a beautifully restored, spotless Victorian home right in the heart of the historic King William neighborhood. Everything is perfectly done here, from the linens to the gourmet breakfast. We will definitely return and recommend it to anyone wanting a unique experience in the heart of San Antonio.
