“Stellar Customer Service”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

On top of GREAT BBQ and prices, this place has a friendly staff and stellar customer service. A small group of us dropped in for a late lunch recently to enjoy their smoked turkey and killer sweet potato casserole. Although they ran out of turkey, we were treated to great brisket instead. The owner and staff are so sweet and personable.

“Pretty decent, but that is it pretty descent nothing out of the world”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

I visited this place for lunch on Sunday, to their credit, it was full of patrons, seemingly local folks, probably coming from church. I ordered the chicken platter with sweet potato casserole and Chili beans, the food was accompanied by a slice of white bread in a plastic bag, The platter along with soda was $12.38. This was a little pricey especially for a dive kind of a place in a strip mall in the middle of nowhere. The chicken was moist and the rub/spice did not penetrate enough, however it was cold. This chicken seemed like it was cooked more in a an oven rather than a bbq. The sides on the other hand were piping hot and I really enjoyed the sweet potato casserole. The chili beans were ok.
I drove fifteen minutes out of my way to come here based on the recommendations, yes it is alright and pretty descent, but this is certainly not the best San Antonio has to offer and certainly not something you go out of your way to get.

“Great BBQ at a great place”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

This is a small little side of the road sort of place, but they have great BBQ and everyone who works there is "just as nice as they can be." When in San Antonio, stop by for a quick lunch.

Simply delicious food. The ribs are most and meaty. The brisket lean and tender. The sausage, perfect. Don't visit without trying the peach cobbler.
