Went back last week with half of the same group from my birthday, that was almost 4 months ago, and while we were enjoying our drinks Monique who was not even our server came up to say HI!! She remembered us from last time. What a great person to have working at Bliss.

She really knows how to make their guess feel welcomed. Highly recommend making a reservation to sit at her table. You will NOT be disappointed.

Cheers!

I consider this San Antonio's hidden gem, though the word is getting out quickly. Your culinary experience at this restaurant is best left to the very well informed wait staff who are most informed about what the chef is offering that evening. They don't hesitate to share their likes and dislikes. The wine pairing suggestion are equally as good. Grab your love, and focus on her the entire evening and let Bliss blow you away!

This is a wonderful restaurant owned by Chef Mark Bliss, formerly of Twenty9 at the Quarry. Bliss is a lovely restaurant in Southtown near the King William historic district. It was built out from the ground up specifically for this restaurant so it functions very well as a special restaurant space. The exterior and interior are just very pretty and welcoming. The service is impeccable, and the kitchen prepares some delicious and well-presented food. I tried the short ribs, and they were so tender with a deep and rich flavor. It is such a special restaurant and I hope it lasts for many decades to come.

Thank You for a very positive write up. We are thrilled you had a wonderful time visiting with us and hope to see you soon and often!
To clarify for Tripadvisor readers:
1. Chef Bliss worked in several hotel and restaurant kitchens including Polo’s at the Fairmount, as Executive Chef at Pour La France, Chef de Cuisine at Biga and Executive Chef/Managing Partner of Silo, not at Twenty9.
2. Building in which Bliss restaurant is located is an old filling station, brought back to life and repurposed by a local architect Candid Rogers
Thank You for mentioning the short ribs, usually served during cooler months only: November-February. We hope you will not wait until than to dine with us again!
