I know everyone is raving! I do believe this chef has a special touch, but pricing is overboard for the size of the servings. The Atmosphere is great if you enjoy exposed bricks and some people remember what the place used to be! I swear I can still smell the Gas. I say go for a taste and go somewhere else if you are hungry. You have to have reservation.

We are locals and we have heard about this restaurant for a long time. It did not let us down! Great atmosphere, exceptional menu and great service! (Ask for Sam's table if you can! He's so professional and friendly! He also really knows the menu, despite frequent changes) Everything they brought out showed so much imagination and the presentations were amazing!

Ok here's the one thing. My husband was treating me to a romantic weekend - in our busy schedule its rare. In fact, we were eating early before an event we had to go to. The hostess gave a warm greeting and showed us to the table. Since it was early, The room was empty except for one family with 2 small children. I couldn't believe it but she stopped RIGHT NEXT to them! There were plenty of tables but she seated us right next to them! Fortunately, the children behaved well and it was ok but next time I hope she thinks it out! Kinda killed having a real romantic dinner. At times we couldn't even talk well. Two tables away (especially since this is an empty room!!!!) would have made a different.

Still, we both think this will be our new favorite restaurant in San Antonio! Can't wait till next time!

We invited San Antonio friends when we came to town to visit them because we read the reviews on Trip Advisor, and it was rated the best restaurant in the city. They had never been there, but agreed it was indeed the finest - great food, exquisite dining experience with superb service. While it is very pricey, it was well worth it.

What can I say, this place is #1 for a reason. Everything was at or above expectations. Staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasurable experience. Don't expect a wide open dining area. This place is a repurposed gas station that excels at the important things "the food and service ". Go you will not be disappointed.

I discovered this place due to all of the great reviews on trip advisor and google maps. I'm so glad I was able to try it for myself. The awesome reviews held up. My service was just as amazing as the food. I started with the Arugula salad. It was definitely one of my favorites of all time time. The super light dressing allowed all the flavors to stand out on their own and didn't overtake the main ingredients, like so many do! The goat cheese and pecorino combo along with the figs and almonds, gave it great flavor and textures. For my entree I had the snapper shrimp risotto. The portion and ratio of this dish were perfect! So many restaurants go overboard with risotto portion and limit the protein. Bliss did it right. This had a good size snapper filet, it was juicy and the skin gave a great crispy crunch. The tomatillos and jalapeños were perfect in the risotto and really cut the richness of the delicious beurre blanc. I can't say enough about this dish. If you can try this dish before they change up the menu, definitely do!
