“Great place to relax at the bar and have some appetizers”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

This was out first visit here at the recommendation of friends. We sat at the bar and shared appetizers and the award winning margaritas. It was late afternoon on a Sunday so it wasn't crowded at all. We had exceptional service with Tim at the bar. We allowed him to make our food selections and he did not disappoint. We had the crispy chicken skewers, brisket stuffed jalapenos and a cup of beans. It was very tasty, fresh and filling. You could tell everything was made fresh, just as Tim described. He even brought us some of the house made salsa and chips to sample. The dinner menu looked tastey but a bit pricey. Overall, a great experience, fresh, tastey food and a good margarita with fresh squeezed lime juice. We plan to return!

“Will not go back!”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

Great atmosphere, terrible food. We read the reviews and were expecting wonderful food, but that is not the case. Two of us had the chopped BBQ on Texas Toast. It was over 50% fat. I know, because I divided mine up! It was pretty bad. The first bite of the chicken fried steak was crunchy & good, and after that every bite was tough and difficult to chew. The Chipotle Chicken sandwich, which our waiter said was the best thing on the menu, was very under whelming. Fries were warm & just average. Seriously, we were so disappointed after reading reviews. It's almost as if they were written by the restaurant, as the food was so bad. As one of our 16 year olds said, "It was gross." On a positive note, the fried pickles were pretty good & the building was beautiful.

“Fun place for appetizers”
Reviewed August 8, 2012 via mobile

We enjoyed 1/2 price appetizers and Shiner Bock. The Texas Rolls, Firecracker Shrimp, stuffed jalapeños with a salad were a nice way to enjoy a light fare outside on a hot Texas night. Service was great and the historical buildings are a nice plus.

“Nice Place to Hang Out”
Reviewed August 5, 2012 via mobile

Great service friendly staff. The BBQ sandwich that I had was ok. Will definitely try something else next time. Very crowded on weekends but they will make every effort to accommodate you. Definitely worth a second trip.
